Again, when asked about the knowledge of knowing the arising of the realm of consciousness, the answer came from the kalpa: That will enjoy the space between the sandalwood cloisters and the pavilions. Householder, how does the Thus-Gone One truly know the knowledge of knowing the cessation of the realm of consciousness? Householder, here, the Thus-Gone One knows thus: Having done beneficial things for immeasurable beings, having averted non-beneficial things, having made light, having dispelled darkness, having completely liberated immeasurable beings from suffering, and having placed them in happiness, this is the knowledge of knowing the cessation of the realm of consciousness, and that is also the nature of the Dharma that has never been born from the beginning. Here, knowing, seeing, clarity, realization, truly understanding, and whoever is wise, this is called the knowledge of knowing the cessation of the realm of consciousness, and the Thus-Gone One truly knows it as it is. Again, when asked about the Thus-Gone One's knowledge of knowing the cessation of the realm of consciousness, the answer came from the kalpa: That will enjoy the space between the sandalwood cloisters and the pavilions. Householder, how does the Thus-Gone One truly know the knowledge of knowing the path that leads to the cessation of the realm of consciousness? Householder, here, the Thus-Gone One, with what knowledge does he fully know the knowledge of the realm of consciousness, understand, the cessation that has been made manifest, if he dwells in following observation without tasting, or if he dwells in following observation of faults, or if he dwells in following observation of definite departure, the Thus-Gone One truly knows it as it is. Again, when asked about the Thus-Gone One's knowledge of knowing the path that leads to the cessation of the realm of consciousness, the answer came from the kalpa: That will enjoy the space between the sandalwood cloisters and the pavilions. Furthermore, the Tathagata thoroughly knows all realms of Dharma. Among them, what is known as knowing the realm of Dharma is the knowledge, vision, clarity, realization, perfect understanding, and wisdom that one possesses. The Tathagata knows this as it truly is. If someone were to ask about the Tathagata's knowledge of the realm of Dharma, and were to answer for countless eons, that person would enjoy sandalwood halls and pavilions. Householder, how does the Tathagata truly know the arising of the knowledge of the realm of Dharma? Householder, in this regard, the Tathagata knows as follows: Having planted roots of virtue before countless Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, thereby truly accomplishing the knowledge of the arising of the realm of Dharma, the Tathagata knows this as it truly is. Householder, furthermore, the Tathagata knows as follows: Through what causes and what conditions does the knowledge of the arising of the realm of Dharma truly come to be? The Tathagata knows those causes and conditions as they truly are. If one abides in contemplating impermanence, up to abiding in contemplating decline, the Tathagata knows this as it truly is. If someone were to ask about the Tathagata's knowledge of the arising of the realm of Dharma, and were to answer for countless eons, that person would enjoy sandalwood halls and pavilions. Householder, how does the Tathagata truly know the cessation of the knowledge of the realm of Dharma? Householder, in this regard, the Tathagata knows as follows: Doing what is beneficial for countless beings and averting what is not beneficial; bringing light and dispelling darkness; completely liberating countless beings from suffering and placing them in happiness, this is the true accomplishment of the knowledge of the cessation of the realm of Dharma, and this is originally the nature of Dharma that is unborn. Among them, what is known as knowing the realm of Dharma is the knowledge, vision, clarity, realization, perfect understanding, and wisdom that one possesses.

It is called knowing cessation with knowledge. The Tathagata knows it as it is. When the Tathagata was asked about knowing the cessation of the Dharma realm with knowledge, he answered from countless eons: He will enjoy himself in this sandalwood courtyard and between the pavilions.
