Not having faith in you, sentient beings suffer. Like people struck by arrows, spears, and great arrows, feeling hundreds of pains. Holding hatred in their hearts towards you, sentient beings go to hell and suffer. Like people dressed, falling from the top of a mountain, the body suffers. Struck by the fall, pulverized, the body finds no peace even for a moment. Likewise, with hatred in their hearts towards you who possess the ten powers, the body also turns to dust. Like people struck by swords and enemies, they find no peace in samsara. Holding hatred towards the Victor, there is no peace to be found in samsara, not even a little. Therefore, I generate immense faith in you, the Sugata. I go for refuge to you, the giver of the supreme, and I confess my non-virtuous deeds. May I today firmly make the aspiration to become the Victor possessing the ten powers. Immeasurable beings in samsara experience much unease and suffering. May I fully attain the power of the ten powers and render the power of the demons powerless. May I have no doubt towards the Victor and enter the wisdom of the Sugata. May I become the Victor, the lord of beings, the possessor of supreme power, possessing immeasurable power. The Sugata, the ten powers, the supreme power, to you, the assembly of people goes for refuge. May I abandon samsara, exhaust the cycle of existence, and also become the Victor of beings. What do you think, son of Maudgalyayana? Do you think that the one who became the demon force holder at that time was someone else? You should not think that way, I was that one. Therefore, son of Maudgalyayana, if a Bodhisattva wishes to abandon the lower realms and wishes to work for the benefit of sentient beings, he should not be bound. Son of Maudgalyayana, I will know the path that will prevent the knowledge of diligence, and practice it accordingly, until manifest realization. Son of Maudgalyayana, in the past, from an inexpressible eon beyond the beyond, there arose a king named "Definite Grasp of Reality," a Dharma king endowed with Dharma. He spoke this certainty about all things: One should look at it this way: whatever action any thing does, that is how it is, it is not otherwise. His minister was called the Practitioner of Dharma.

of action. Acting wisely and discerningly, and being skilled in non-action. Completely governing the kingdom, attending to countless Tathagatas, having done countless roots of virtue, there arose one who was perfectly established in the Mahayana. That king, clinging to things, wishing to be free from that view, had golden vessels made. Sesame oil containers, ghee containers, molasses containers, beverage containers, food containers, and various precious vessel styles were made. Having made those vessels, he said to the king who clung to things: Great King, what are these vessels definitely for? He said: Village chief, you yourself should know what these vessels are suitable for. This is temporarily determined to be a water vessel. This is definitely a sesame oil vessel. This is definitely a ghee vessel. This is a honey vessel. This is a beverage vessel. This is a food vessel. This is a gold vessel. This is a silver vessel. All those vessels are definitely indicated. Then, that minister exchanged all those vessels, putting ghee in the sesame oil vessel, sesame oil in the ghee vessel, beverage in the honey vessel, and honey in the beverage, and in this way exchanged all those vessels. Then, that minister, having exchanged all those vessels, invited the king to sit in the pavilion and said to the attendant: Friend, bring water from the washing water vessel. The washer brought a little water. As instructed, he filled the vessel and offered it. Then, that king who clung to things, seeing those vessels filled, said to that minister: Village chief, have these made vessels not been wasted? Where the water vessel is filled with ghee. Likewise, have all the illusory dharmas not been wasted? He said: Just as these vessel shapes are enjoyed by you, all things are the end of destruction, and nothing is certain. All things

It is the limit of destruction, and it is the limit of transformation. All things are of the nature of impermanence, having the Dharma of destruction. All things are transformed by the nature of transformation, and nothing is constant, nothing is certain, seen as other and transformed into other. Great King, therefore, cultivate the perception of impermanence in impermanent things, and cultivate the perception of movement in uncertain things. Great King, furthermore, maturity turns into old age, youth turns into middle age, middle age turns into old age, and old age will also die. Therefore, all things are uncertain. After that, the king who held onto things, made that minister abandon that foundation. He said to that minister: Village chief, well done! Well done! To realize this knowledge, one should strive. What do you think, son of Maudgala? If you think that the minister named Dharma Practice at that time was someone else, you should not think like that, I was the minister named Dharma Practice at that time. Therefore, son of Maudgala, a Bodhisattva should be uncertain about all things. By realizing the order of the power of diligence, things will become heavy and light. Son of Maudgala, for the sake of understanding the order, when I practiced the practice of the Bodhisattva in the past, after I attained complete enlightenment and became a Buddha, I would truly show sentient beings how to do it by knowing the order. How should I truly establish sentient beings in knowing the order? Thinking of being skilled in the differences between virtuous and non-virtuous dharmas, and skilled in the differences of wisdom, I manifestly gathered many kinds of roots of virtue. Son of Maudgala, from the past, beyond the other shore, there was a king named Kuntugo, who, after obtaining the kingdom, ruled with caution. He had eighty thousand concubines, beautiful and handsome.
