Having understood the mind, when the Tathagata abides in solitude, he does not abandon his own benefit at the time of abiding. The Tathagata abides, in what way does he abide, he abides in the same way. The Tathagata, the near-peaceful noble one, also understood his intention, and abides in such a way. Jewel Crest, he abides in the place where he walks, and the Bodhisattva Jewel Crest also follows him. Thus, the Tathagata teaches the Bodhisattva to abide in the abiding of the Buddha. He understands all the realms of the Tathagata. Son of Maudgalyayana, if you think that the Bodhisattva named Jewel Crest, who remembers all the realms of the Tathagata, is someone else at that time, you should not think like that, I was the Bodhisattva Jewel Crest at that time, and I followed and understood the various intentions of the Tathagata. Son of Maudgalyayana, therefore, the Bodhisattva should understand the abiding of the Tathagata. Son of Maudgalyayana, in order to know the arising of various intentions, when I practiced the Bodhisattva conduct in the past, I accumulated various roots of virtue. Son of Maudgalyayana, from countless eons ago in the past, on the far shore beyond that, the Tathagata named Beautiful Eyes and even the Buddha Bhagavan appeared in the world. The Buddha-field world of the Tathagata Beautiful Eyes had ninety-nine kotis, and in that Buddha-field, there were no hell beings in all places, no animal realms, no Yama's world, no Asura ranks, and there was no leisure in all places. That Buddha-field was completely pure, and there was not the slightest defiled karma in that Buddha-field. Thus, when the Tathagata practiced the Bodhisattva conduct in the past, he liberated countless beings.

He made those ripen completely. At that time, in that Buddha-field, there arose a Bodhisattva named Water God (Chu Lha, Sanskrit: Varuna), who lived at home. The Bhagavan, the Tathagata, Beautiful-Eyed One (Syan Dzes) was very steadfast in his Upasika lineage. For example, the son of the Bhagavan Light Protector (Od Srung), the potter's lineage, and my beautiful bee garden. Then, the Bodhisattva Water God went to the Bhagavan, the Tathagata, Beautiful-Eyed One, bowed his head at his feet, and sat to one side. Having sat to one side, the Bodhisattva Water God, in front of many beings, requested the Bhagavan, the Tathagata, Beautiful-Eyed One, with a verse: The ten powers resound, unmatched in the world of gods and humans; Victor knows the thoughts of beings, and especially knows the supreme intention; Victor, the guide, knows various intentions and how to eliminate them; Please explain how to eliminate various supreme intentions; How does the guide, your son, eliminate the various intentions of all sentient beings; Please tell me, the Sugata, I desire to see that true elimination; Victor sees all, skilled in all the thoughts of gods and humans; For the benefit of all the world, you, Beautiful-Eyed One, make this prophecy; When will you fully know how to eliminate, thereby accomplishing great benefit for beings; The Tathagata knows the various intentions of beings without exception; Just like a river flowing downstream; Wherever people rely on, they will tend to go there; He has obtained the teachings of the Sugata and relies on the virtuous friend Buddha; Gradually relying, he fully knows that attachment to objects is meaningless; He knows the bondage, and also knows the faults of objects, thereby completely abandoning them; Completely seeing the faults of objects, one can stop and not arise again; Those who see the objects but do not stop the repeated practice; They are conquered by the supreme taste of objects, thereby giving rise to suffering; Therefore, wise people, for the benefit of beings, desire supreme Bodhi; Those who desire to manifest Bodhi should strive to fully know the objects; How about the son of Maudgalyayana?

I think so. At that time, if one thinks that the Bodhisattva who became the Water God was someone else, one should not view it that way. I was the Bodhisattva who became the Water God at that time. Because I completely knew those realms there, I have never had any faults since then. Why is that? Because I completely knew them meaninglessly. Maudgalyāyana, therefore, a Bodhisattva should completely know the realms that have become meaningless. Maudgalyāyana, in order to know the path that prevents knowing various inclinations, I generated immeasurable roots of virtue when I practiced the conduct of a Bodhisattva in the past. Maudgalyāyana, from immeasurable eons in the past, beyond that, even further beyond, there was a Tathagata named Skilled in Liberating All Sentient Beings to Enlightenment, and then the Buddha Bhagavan appeared in the world. When that Tathagata practiced the conduct of a Bodhisattva in the past, he did not ripen any sentient beings with the Hearer Vehicle or the Solitary Realizer Vehicle, but rather established all sentient beings in correctly holding the mind of enlightenment. In that Buddha's Buddha-field of Unsurpassed Perfect Enlightenment, those sentient beings were perfectly established in Unsurpassed Perfect Enlightenment. That Tathagata taught the Dharma to those sentient beings, starting with the six perfections. That Tathagata, Skilled in Liberating All Sentient Beings to Enlightenment, established countless sentient beings in the state of non-retrogression, and after abiding for countless eons, he completely passed into Nirvana in the realm of Nirvana without remainder. Those sentient beings who arose also attained Unsurpassed Perfect Enlightenment, and after benefiting countless sentient beings, they entered into Nirvana. At that time, in that Buddha-field, a Bodhisattva named Divine Moon appeared. That Bodhisattva Divine Moon, in the ten directions of the world, as many as the dust particles of ten Buddha-fields,
