The perfections (pāramitā) abode and grammar, as well as worldly benefits, the lineage of sacrifices, and the lineage of the marks of a great man, the scriptures of these three sciences were each approved by their respective teachers. At that time, from the one called the Tathāgata Completely Liberated from All Bonds to the Buddha Bhagavan appeared in the world. In the scriptures of the Tathāgata Completely Liberated from All Bonds, the lifespan of sentient beings became immeasurable. Countless thousands of Śrāvaka assemblies of the Tathāgata Completely Liberated from All Bonds appeared. Countless Bodhisattva assemblies appeared. Countless assemblies of Śrāvakas and assemblies of Bodhisattvas of the Tathāgata Completely Liberated from All Bonds appeared. There, the Tathāgata Completely Liberated from All Bonds, starting from entering into samadhi, knowing, and knowing the arising of all things, taught the Dharma, saying that the Bodhisattva should be skilled in samadhi, and should also be skilled in entering into samadhi, knowing, and knowing the arising of all things. Monks, how can a Bodhisattva become skilled in entering into samadhi, knowing, and knowing the arising of all things? Here, the Bodhisattva should diligently apply himself to the dharmas that are in accordance with the first dhyana. What is the first dhyana? How can one obtain the name of entering into samadhi for the first dhyana? Here, the Bodhisattva should truly understand in this way: The definite arising from the conceptual thought of desire is the antidote to conceptual thought. The conceptual thought of definite arising dispels the conceptual thought of desire, therefore it is the antidote to this. Because of entering into samadhi, it is called entering into samadhi. The antidote to the conceptual thought of malice is the conceptual thought of non-malice, because it is the entering into samadhi of this, therefore it is called entering into samadhi. The antidote to the conceptual thought of harm is the conceptual thought of non-harm, because the conceptual thought of non-harm can dispel the conceptual thought of harm.

It does. Because that is the absorption into this, it is called absorption. He enters into the first dhyana. The antidote to the second dhyana is conceptualization and analysis, and the antidote to those is the joy born of samadhi. Because that is the absorption into this, it is called absorption. The antidote to the joy born of samadhi of the third dhyana is the antidote to the pleasure of not having that joy. Because that is the absorption into this, therefore it is called absorption. In the fourth dhyana, a feeling that is neither pleasure nor pain arises, and that is the antidote to pleasure and pain. Because that is the absorption into this, it is called absorption. Chapter Eighteen. The antidote to the sphere of infinite space is the perception of form and the perception of obstruction. Its antidote is called the absorption into the perception of space. The antidote to the sphere of infinite consciousness is the perception of space. Because that is the absorption into this, it is called absorption. The antidote to the sphere of nothingness is the perception of consciousness. Because that is the absorption into this, it is called absorption. The antidote to the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception is the sphere of nothingness. Because that is the absorption into this, it is called absorption. The antidote to the absorption into cessation is the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception. Because that is the absorption into this, it is called absorption. What is its origin? It is like this, it is desire. The cause of understanding absorption, understanding origin, is desire. At that time, the Bodhisattva named Wisdom Treasury was sitting at the hem of the Tathagata's robe, and was fanning the Tathagata with a fan. He thought to himself: May I, in the future, become a Tathagata who subdues the unsubdued, pacifies the unpacified, liberates the bound, and saves the unsaved.

She. The Brahmin Immaculate Eye, like a great Sala tree, also thought thus: 'In the future, may I become a Tathagata who subdues the unsubdued, pacifies the unpacified, liberates the bound, and delivers those who have not crossed over.' Then, the Tathagata, called 'Completely Liberating All Bonds,' spoke this verse especially for the two Bodhisattvas who were holding fast to the right path: 'Those sentient beings who, seeing suffering, give rise to great compassion, even if they were to make offerings with all kinds of precious things, it would not be enough. When all sentient beings are not in the ten directions of the world, even if a son were to worship the Sugata, it would not become an offering. The merit of generating one thought of that, one cannot fully express with words, how could one possibly exhaust its merits? Therefore, if a wise person seeks the Buddha's Dharma, they should strive for merits and worship the Tathagata's merits. When seeking the Buddha's Dharma, they do not protect their body; having learned the giving of the guide, they completely give again and again. The best of the two-legged ones has completely learned all things, and thus I have attained the supreme Bodhi, the nature of the Buddha. Those who understand how all phenomena arise, that son, the king of men, increases the lineage of his father. Realizing the Dharma of equality cuts the bonds of Mara, and freeing oneself from the net of Mara, also liberates other sentient beings. Therefore, those who seek Bodhi should completely abandon all things. If you seek the peace of Bodhi, you should learn the principles of the Dharma.' Then, after those two Bodhisattvas heard the teachings of the Bhagavan, at that time, they were determined to completely give away all things, and the two of them became irreversible. Maudgalyayana's son, what do you think? At that time, at that moment, if you think that the one called Brahmin Immaculate Eye, who was like a great Sala tree, was someone else, you should not view it that way. Why? That Tathagata Kashyapa, at that time, at that moment, was the one called Brahmin Immaculate Eye, who was like a great Sala tree. Maudgalyayana's son, what do you think? That
