Those that do not transform into land, and do not transform into thought, are the basis of sinful deeds. Those who are ignorant are completely seized by unwholesome friends, and being completely seized by aging, sickness, sorrow, and death, they will be completely tormented at the time of death. Because in their sights, they only see places like cemeteries separately. They will also not transform into generating virtuous thoughts, and they will also not gain unwavering faith. Those who, after dying and transmigrating from there, will also experience suffering, therefore, those without the root of virtue of prophecy, those who have not seen the Thus-Gone One, and those who have not received prophecy, will not listen to this Dharma discourse, will not make images, will not make offerings, will not hold it, will not write it, will not have it written, and will not be able to have faith. They will also not be able to attend to, respect, regard as a guru, make images of, or make offerings to the one who speaks the Dharma. Son of good family, in whatever place this Dharma discourse is extensively practiced, the deeds of the Thus-Gone One will occur there. Then, the gathered assembly said to the Bhagavan, "Well said!" Bhagavan, well said! Well said! Bhagavan, we too will attend to, respect, regard as a guru, make images of, and make offerings to those who speak the Dharma and those who listen to the Dharma with the deeds of the Thus-Gone One, and we will also closely provide all the implements of happiness. We will also expand and protect this Dharma discourse, and therefore this Dharma discourse will also remain for a long time. Then, at that time, the Bhagavan looked at the assembled retinue and spoke, "O sons of good family, well said, well said! You should do likewise! Even if there is harm, contempt, abuse, threats, wielding of weapons, or creating obstacles, without regard for body and life, you should listen to this Dharma discourse, write it, have it written, and recite it. You should also attend to the one who speaks the Dharma with all the implements of happiness. That place, that continent, those cities...

And one should protect against fear and harm, as well as infectious diseases and conflicts. One should also constantly and continuously think of those sons and daughters of good families. Then, at that time, the Bhagavan spoke these verses: In countless millions of kalpas, The appearance of Buddhas is found a few times, In future times, without regret, Sons of good families, listen to the Dharma with mindfulness. Listening to qualities and generating manifest faith, For them, attaining samadhi is not difficult. To those lords, the foremost of bipeds, In billions of kalpas, like the sands of the Ganges, Offerings of wealth, grains, as well as clothes and ornaments, Incense, garlands, and unguents, Whoever has faith in this sutra, Listens, reads, and writes it down, For them, the measure of merit is unobtainable, The Sugata has not spoken of such a limit. Always mindfully relying on solitude, Without other thoughts, meditating on pure dhyana, Giving away pitiful sons and daughters, And completely giving away hands and feet, Whoever holds this sutra, They obtain more merit than that. This supreme sutra is a giver of wealth, All their evil destinies are always abandoned. This is a giver of wealth and grains, Whoever holds this pure sutra, For them, all qualities are not difficult, For them, life, strength, and diligence are abundant. The guide sees the Buddha Amitabha, I have also prophesied their Buddhahood and enlightenment, For them, there is never any sin, And they also see the realm of Sukhavati. Whatever actions always arise for them, Heartache, bodily pain, or likewise, Headaches and everything else will be exhausted, They will never fall into lower realms. Through this, in the Dharma they see, all qualities, As they think and desire, they will be obtained. Thus, always monks and nuns, Laymen and kings always, Like the Tathagata, the lord of men, To the speaker of Dharma, show respect, This sutra should always be held, And those who hold it should always be honored. With incense, garlands, and unguents, Offerings are made, and they are encouraged to write it down.
