The majestic words spoke thus to the evil Mara: "Evil one, you have only obtained the dominion of desire with a single endless offering. I have made endless offerings with billions of trillions of offerings. Hands, feet, eyes, and heads were also cut off and given to those who begged. In order to liberate sentient beings, houses, wealth, grains, bedding, clothes, beds, and various kinds of gardens were also given to those who begged." Then, the evil Mara spoke again to the Bodhisattva in verse: "In the past, I made flawless offerings. You are here as a witness to the endless deeds I have done. Since you have no witness here, what is the use of speaking? You are destined to be defeated." The Bodhisattva said: "Evil one, this earth is my witness." Then the Bodhisattva pervaded the evil Mara and the retinue of Mara with a mind of love and compassion. Like a lion, fearless and unafraid, without shame, not inferior, not shrinking back, not agitated, not confused, not turbid, without fear, and without causing goosebumps, the palms of his hands had the marks of a conch shell, a victory banner, a fish, a vase, an auspicious knot, an iron hook, and a wheel. The fingers were connected by a web-like pattern. The nails were very beautiful, adorned like the color of copper. Soft and tender, very young. With his right hand, accomplished by accumulating a collection of virtuous roots for immeasurable eons, he stroked his entire body and struck the ground auspiciously, and at that time he also spoke this verse: "This earth is the abode of all beings, sentient and non-sentient are equal, without partiality. This is my witness, I have not lied. May you be my witness!" As soon as the Bodhisattva touched this great earth, it immediately shook in six ways. It shook violently. It shook completely violently. It trembled. It trembled violently. It trembled completely violently. Just as when a drum is struck in the land of Magadha, a sound arises and the sound lasts for a long time, so too, as soon as this great earth was struck by the hand of the Bodhisattva, a sound arose.

The sound of my field has long appeared. The Sutra of Great Play, called "The Great Vehicle." Volume Fourteen. Then, in this three-thousand-great-thousand world realm, the earth goddess named "Bhr̥tā," who possesses a retinue of earth goddesses numbering hundreds of thousands of kotis, caused all the great earth to tremble. Not far from where the Bodhisattva was, she broke through the earth. Adorned with all bodily ornaments, she revealed half of her body, and bowing her body to the side where the Bodhisattva was, she joined her palms together. She spoke thus to the Bodhisattva: "Yes, it is just so. Great man, it is just so. As you have spoken, this is manifest to me. Although it is so, the Blessed One himself is the lord of the world with gods, the measure, and the supreme one." After the great earth goddess Bhr̥tā spoke thus, in various ways, she made it impossible for the evil demon to find an opportunity. Praising the Bodhisattva, displaying her many powers, she became invisible there with her retinue. When the deceitful one and his army heard the earth sound, it was like a jackal hearing the roar of a lion in the forest. Like a crow struck by a stone, falling into the mud. Terrified and with hearts broken, all scattered in all directions. Then, the evil demon, suffering and displeased, displeased and ashamed, oppressed by arrogance, neither left nor returned, neither fled nor escaped, looking back, he again said to his army: "Gather together and stay for a moment. Do not suddenly lose such a precious sentient being, I will follow and observe whether I can overcome him or not." Then, the evil demon said to his daughters: "Daughters, go today to the Bodhi tree and observe whether the Bodhisattva is with desire or without desire? Is he foolish or wise? Is he blind or does he know the directions? Is he helpless, inferior, or steadfast?" Having heard these words, the demon daughters went to where the Bodhi tree was, where the Bodhisattva

Having gone to that place, they came before the Bodhisattva and displayed thirty-two kinds of illusory forms of women. What are the thirty-two forms? They are as follows: Some cover half of their faces, some show firm and bulging breasts, some show a row of teeth with a slight smile, some stretch out their arms and make a gesture of catching birds, showing their armpits, some show lips as red as bimba fruit, some half-close their eyes and look at the Bodhisattva, and after looking, quickly smile, some show their breasts half-covered, some pull down their clothes, showing their waist with a golden girdle, some wear thin cotton clothes, showing their waist with a golden girdle, some make their anklets jingle, some show a necklace from between their breasts, some show half of their thighs, some show birds, parrots, and tits perched on their heads and shoulders, some look at the Bodhisattva out of the corner of their eyes, some pretend to be improperly dressed even though they are well-dressed, some move their waist and golden girdle, some pretend to be confused, flaunting and walking around, some dance, some sing, some pretend to be coquettish and shy, some shake their thighs like a tree by the water moved by the wind, some make a majestic sound, some wear silk clothes, tie a golden girdle with bells, and walk around laughing, some throw their clothes and ornaments on the ground and pretend to be shy and then pick them up again, some show all the secret and obvious ornaments, some show hands smeared with incense, some smear their cheeks and also show their earrings, some cover their heads and faces and then show them for a moment, some remember past frolicking, joy, and play, and then sit as if shy, and some...
