Therefore, even if turning back. Thousands of people like you. As many as the sands of the Ganges. A Bodhisattva possesses wisdom. Cannot shake a hair on his body. From the left comes the Terrifier, saying. Clearly dwelling within the army. Father, why are you so afraid? Where does he have the help of an army? Why do you fear him here? From the right comes the one-pointed Wise, saying. In the world, the sun and moon have no help from an army. A Wheel-Turning King and a lion have no help from an army. This Bodhisattva has no help from an army. Yet, alone, he subdues the armies of Mara. From the left comes the Opportunity Seeker, saying. Short spear, trident, club, sword, horse. Elephant, chariot, infantry are all absent. Only a single practitioner is present, I. I can kill him immediately, Father, you need not fear. From the right comes the Adorned with Merit, saying. Like a beloved son, with an indivisible and indestructible body. Patience is armor, diligence is a firm sword and arrow. The three liberations are the mount, wisdom is the bow, Father. By the power of merit, he will conquer the armies of Mara. From the left comes the Non-Returning, saying. A wildfire burning the grass does not turn back. An arrow shot skillfully does not turn back. A vajra falling from the sky does not turn back. If I cannot conquer the son of Shakya, I will have nowhere to dwell. From the right comes the Dharma Desirer, saying. If encountering moist grass, even fire turns back. If falling on a rocky peak, even an arrow turns back. Where can a vajra go after falling to the ground? Without obtaining the nectar of peace, it will not turn back. Why is that? Father, although one can draw pictures in the sky. Although one can concentrate the minds of all sentient beings. Father, although one can bind the sun, moon, and wind with a rope. One cannot move a Bodhisattva from the essence of Bodhicitta. From the left comes the Near-Pacified, saying. With the great poison of views, I will burn Mount Meru. I will also dry up the waters of all the great oceans. I will immediately destroy both of them into ashes. Father, please look at the Bodhi and the practitioner. From the right comes the Meaning Accomplisher, saying. Even if poison fills everything. Even if the three thousand worlds are completely ablaze. Just a glance, and poison turns into the best medicine. The most potent poisons in the three realms are greed, hatred, and delusion. These do not exist in his (Buddha's) body and mind, just as there is no dirt or dust in the sky. His body, speech, and mind are perfectly pure, and he possesses a compassionate heart for all beings. Weapons and poisons cannot harm him. Therefore, I beseech you, father, to dispel all obstacles. On the left, the one attached to joy said: I will play thousands of instruments, adorn with hundreds of thousands of ornamented celestial maidens, embellish with attachment, and parade in the supreme city, making you indulge in pleasure. On the right, the one who delights in Dharma said: He (the Buddha) always delights in Dharma, rejoices in meditation, rejoices in the meaning of nectar, rejoices in liberating beings and in compassion, and does not delight in the pleasure of attachment. On the left, the one called Wind Force said: I can swallow the sun and moon with my power, release fierce winds from the sky, father, immediately seize that Shramana, and destroy him like a balloon blown by the wind. On the right, Lion Wisdom said: Lions have never appeared on earth in groups, nor do the evils of views appear in groups.
