Sinful one, you are as weak as an old elephant sinking in the mud! Sinful one, you are as alone as one who claims to be a hero but is defeated! Sinful one, you are as helpless as one afflicted with illness and abandoned in the wilderness! Sinful one, you are as powerless as a calf tormented by a heavy load! Sinful one, you are as fallen as a tree struck by the wind! Sinful one, you are as lost as a blind man who has lost his way, dwelling on a bad path! Sinful one, you are even more base than a poor debtor! Sinful one, you speak nonsense like a crow that appears by chance! 菩萨将心放入心中。 罪人你如同在荒野寺庙中断了路粮，然而菩萨会让你变得贫穷。罪人你如同在大海中船只破裂，然而菩萨会让你发出哀嚎。罪人你如同劫火焚烧草木，然而菩萨会让你衰老。罪人你如同金刚降临山顶，然而菩萨会让你倾倒，如是说。 比丘们，如此菩提的侍奉之神子们以十六种方式阻挡魔鬼罪人，但魔鬼罪人并未退回。对此如是说：诸天众听闻真实劝请，然魔未曾返回。 攻击啊，击打啊，毁灭此人啊，性命也不要给予啊！此人自己胜利后，会从我的国土中也救度他人。除了起身逃跑之外，此修行者别无他途，如是说。 菩萨说：山王须弥山可能会从原地动摇，一切众生可能会消失。 星辰之众连同月亮一起可能会从天空坠落到地上。一切有情的心可能会变成一个，大海可能会干涸。 像我一样坐在树王面前，动摇是不可能的。魔鬼说：我是欲界自在，掌管这整个世界。 天和非天众，以及人和畜生们。我所遍布，一切都归我管。住在我的国土里享受，照我的话做。 菩萨说：如果说你是欲界自在，显然你不是自在。真实地看着我，我也是正法的自在。如果你不去恶趣，你才是欲界自在。 无力自在的你看着吧，我将获得菩提。魔鬼说：修行者你独自一人在寂静处做什么？你所寻找的，不容易遇到。 善于行走、有智慧等精进苦行，也未获得。那至高果位，身为凡人的你还说什么？菩提心

The Bodhisattva puts the mind into the heart. Sinner, you are like having your travel provisions cut off in a remote monastery, yet the Bodhisattva will make you impoverished. Sinner, you are like a ship breaking in the great ocean, yet the Bodhisattva will make you utter cries of lamentation. Sinner, you are like grass and forests consumed by the fire of destruction, yet the Bodhisattva will make you age. Sinner, you are like a vajra falling on a mountain peak, yet the Bodhisattva will cause you to be overthrown, so it is said. Monks, thus the sons of the gods who attend upon enlightenment ward off the evil one with sixteen aspects, but the evil one does not turn back. To this it is said: Although the assembly of gods heard the true exhortation, the evil one did not turn back. Strike! Hit! Destroy this one! Do not even give life! This one, having conquered himself, will also liberate others from my realm. Except for rising up and fleeing, there is no other escape for this ascetic, so he said. The Bodhisattva said: The king of mountains, Mount Sumeru, might move from its place, and all beings might disappear. The assembly of stars, together with the moon, might fall from the sky to the earth. The minds of all sentient beings might become one, and the great ocean might dry up. But for one like me, sitting before the king of trees, it is impossible to be moved. The Evil One said: I am the lord of desire, the master of this entire world. The gods and asuras, together with humans and animals. I pervade them, and all are under my control. Dwell in my realm, enjoy, and do as I say. The Bodhisattva said: If you are the lord of desire, it is clear that you are not the master. Truly look at me, I am also the master of Dharma. If you do not go to the lower realms, you are the lord of desire. Helpless and not free, you watch as I attain enlightenment. The Evil One said: Ascetic, what are you doing alone in the wilderness? What you seek is not easy to find. Even those who are skilled in practice, intelligent, and who strive diligently in asceticism, have not attained.
