The son of gods, urged on by the true instigator, The supreme one of strength and diligence, quickly arises, Liberating all sentient beings from suffering and danger. Now the time for manifestation has arrived. Billions of thousands of gods also, Pouring down showers of pleasing flowers. He sits in the lotus posture in the supreme place, Surrounded by gods, beautiful and radiant. In the city, whatever men, women, boys, and girls there are, All of them, exhausted, have fallen asleep, losing their ability to act. Horses, elephants, cattle, calves, cranes, peacocks, partridges, etc., They too, exhausted, quickly fall asleep, their forms unseen. The sons of the Shakya clan, holding firm vajras and double-edged weapons, And elephants, horses, chariots, and the best cavalry, are all asleep. Kings, princes, and all the royal family have also fallen into slumber. Groups of women are asleep, their clothes disheveled, naked, yet unaware. That is the voice of Brahma, pleasing and delightful, the sound of the kalaviṅka bird. Midnight has passed, and the middle of the night has arrived, speaking to the tamer: O Tamer, please grant me that praised, excellent, and well-adorned stallion. If you hold love for me, please do not create obstacles, quickly grant it to me. The Tamer, hearing these words, with tears filling his eyes, spoke to his master: Supreme tamer of sentient beings, where are you going, what will you do riding it? Thousands of gods spoke to the yearning one with joyful hearts: O yearning one, offer this excellent horse well, do not be discouraged. The gods and asuras played drums, conches, pottery drums, and music. However, this supreme city, lulled to sleep by the gods, did not awaken. O yearning one, look at the stainless space and the exceedingly beautiful light of the gods. Look, they have gathered here to worship countless bodhisattvas. Happiness and other families, Indra leading the army, are standing majestically at the gate. Gods, asuras, kinnaras, and other beings have gathered here to offer worship, look! The yearning one heard the words of the gods and spoke to the excellent horse: O supreme charioteer of beings, please depart, make the sound of a horse's neigh, and come! He adorned the hooves of that summer-colored horse with gold. Although displeased, he offered this horse, which possesses an ocean of virtues, as a mount. Possessing an excellent name and doing beneficial deeds, your mount is a noble and virtuous steed. May all the aspirations you have made in the past be fulfilled, please depart! May all those who create obstacles be pacified, may the asceticism you have contemplated be accomplished! May you bestow happiness, heaven, and peace upon all beings! When he arose from his bed, the entire earth shook in six ways. He rode upon that sacred horse king, like the full moon. With hands as pure as stainless lotuses, he lifted the excellent horse. Indra and Brahma both showed him the way. He emitted a clear and stainless light, illuminating the entire earth.
