What are the six perfections? The thought of the Dharma of the Arhat's complete extinction is generosity. The thought of the Dharma of non-complete extinction is morality. The devotion that arises from faith is patience. The thought of liberation through wisdom is diligence. The thought of manifesting through the body is meditation. The thought of liberation from both parts is the perfection of wisdom. These are the six perfections of the Dharma of the Arhat. Then, what are the six perfections of the Pratyekabuddha? Seeing the arising of thought in the Pratyekabuddha as small is generosity. Liberation from the arising of thought is morality. Delight in solitude is patience. Delight in liberation is diligence. Abiding in tranquility is meditation. Solitary confidence is wisdom. These are the six perfections of the Pratyekabuddha. Then, what are the six perfections of the Bodhisattva? Giving without deceit is the perfection of generosity. The practice entered with superior intention, such as the story of the swan's reincarnation, is morality. Having equanimity towards all sentient beings is patience. Discriminating all knowledge is diligence. The attainment of Samadhi based on the proclamation of others is meditation. Wisdom without weariness in Samsara, and the complete maturation of sentient beings, is wisdom. These are the six perfections of the Bodhisattva. That is meditation. That which is free from all ignorance and fully attains all knowledge is wisdom. These are the six perfections distinguished by knowing exhaustion. What are the six perfections distinguished by knowing non-arising? Knowing that the nine roots of craving do not arise is generosity. Knowing that the nine objects of harmful intent do not arise is discipline. That which is not touched by worldly dharmas is patience. That which is not completely lost from liberation is diligence. Seeing the ten knowledges of the non-learner is meditation. Seeing that which will not be completely cut off is wisdom. These are the six perfections distinguished by knowing non-arising. What are the six perfections of blessing? Until the sacred Dharma does not perish, all dharmas remain, and offering the teachings with material possessions is generosity. That which is not overcome by the teachings is discipline. That which causes the four castes of the world to have faith is patience. That which strives to make diligence fruitful is diligence. That which realizes the Dharma with firm intention is meditation. That which completely knows all worldly dharmas is the perfection of wisdom. These are the six perfections of blessing. What are the six perfections of accomplishing the divine eye? Seeing forms with the divine eye is generosity. Seeing formless things is discipline. Seeing without fabrication is patience. Seeing the faults of samsara is diligence. Seeing renunciation is meditation. Seeing peace is wisdom. These are the six perfections of accomplishing the divine eye. What are the six perfections of the divine ear? Hearing loud sounds is generosity.

Listening to subtle sounds is the perfection of discipline. Completely perfecting all love is the perfection of patience. Giving teachings with skillful means is the perfection of diligence. Hearing all phenomena and retaining them completely is the perfection of meditation. Engaging in the analysis of all sounds is the perfection of wisdom.
