何为与念力相应的六度？虽恒常忆念天界，却不特别执着于天界的欲望，此乃布施。见到天女们的过患，此乃持戒。不明显欢喜于无量宫殿，此乃忍辱。成为天人后希求解脱，此乃精进。不住于天人的眷属集会，此乃禅定。不明显执着于诸天说法，此乃智慧。这些是与念力相应的六度。何为与等持力相应的六度？舍弃事物而欢喜等持，譬如国王大天舍弃王位而出家一般，此乃布施。心的作用是身语的余剩，此乃持戒。行作善妙之业，此乃忍辱。如实通达法，此乃精进。特别见到空性之法，此乃禅定。不为世间法所染污，譬如陶师家中盛满大药一般，此乃智慧。这些是与等持力相应的六度。何为与智慧力相应的六度？即使舍弃头颅也不退缩，譬如迦湿弥罗国的国王一般，此乃布施。为了怜悯他人而完全舍弃自己，譬如菩萨为了旅客而将自己施予夜叉，欢喜地给予人肉祭品，此乃持戒。为了珍珠三次进入大海，即使被刺穿也忍受，此乃忍辱。获得好坏苦乐，不作布施且心生怯懦，七次进入大海，此乃精进。于诸生中如所欲地思

What are the six perfections that are endowed with the power of mindfulness? Although constantly remembering the heavenly realms, not being particularly attached to the desires of the gods, this is generosity. Seeing the faults of the goddesses, this is discipline. Not manifestly rejoicing in immeasurable palaces, this is patience. Having become a god and hoping for liberation, this is diligence. Not dwelling in the assemblies of the retinues of the gods, this is meditation. Not manifestly attached to the gods teaching the Dharma, this is wisdom. These are the six perfections that are endowed with the power of mindfulness. What are the six perfections that are endowed with the power of samadhi? Abandoning things and rejoicing in samadhi, like King Mahadeva abandoning his kingdom and going forth, this is generosity. The activity of the mind is the remainder of body and speech, this is discipline. Doing virtuous deeds, this is patience. Realizing the Dharma as it is, this is diligence. Especially seeing the Dharma of emptiness, this is meditation. Not being defiled by worldly dharmas, like a great medicine filling a potter's house, this is wisdom. These are the six perfections that are endowed with the power of samadhi. What are the six perfections that are endowed with the power of wisdom? Even if abandoning one's head, not retreating, like the king of Kashmir, this is generosity. Completely giving oneself for the sake of compassion for others, like a Bodhisattva giving himself to a Yaksha for the sake of a traveler, happily giving a human flesh offering, this is discipline. Entering the ocean three times for the sake of pearls, even if being pierced, enduring, this is patience. What is the ultimate perfection? It is meditation. When the teacher lets go, the bodhisattva prays skillfully, like a bandit chief being tamed, that is wisdom. These are the six perfections that are equal to the power of wisdom. Among them, what are the six perfections of the mindfulness enlightenment factor? The mindfulness that abandons non-virtue is generosity. The mindfulness that abides in pleasant perception is discipline. The mindfulness of the signs of all dharmas is patience. Not wasting diligence is diligence. Cultivating the powers is meditation. The power of mindfulness and liberation is wisdom. These are the six perfections of the mindfulness enlightenment factor. Among them, what are the six perfections of the discrimination of dharma enlightenment factor? Abandoning faults by discriminating dharma is generosity. Being in harmony with liberation by discriminating dharma is discipline. Completely abandoning the two extremes is patience. Discriminating dharma continuously is diligence. Discriminating dharma without speculation is meditation. Meditating without clinging to all these is wisdom. These are the six perfections of the discrimination of dharma enlightenment factor. Among them, what are the six perfections of the effort enlightenment factor? Abandoning the objects of attachment that arise after realization is generosity. Supreme diligence is discipline. Not having obvious attachment to diligence is patience. Not abiding in the cutting off of self, sentient beings, life, and nourishment is diligence. Not being weary of all combinations is meditation. Examining oneself and accomplishing all fabrications without completely relying on the wisdom of the seventh ground is wisdom. These
