I am the non-cyclic perfection of wisdom; these are the six non-cyclic perfections. What are the six cyclic perfections? As long as the sacred Dharma has not disappeared, the perfection of giving that matures and enters together with sentient beings is the cyclic perfection of giving. From dwelling in the abode of Tushita until the time of passing into Nirvana, the auspiciousness of dwelling in order to abandon entering is the cyclic perfection of discipline. Dwelling in order to fully mature many beings and dedicating them fully at the appropriate time, the patience that is in accordance with cyclic existence and united with the true and only one is the cyclic perfection of patience. Like the aspiration of the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, and like the diligence dedicated to many beings for the sake of taming the cripple, is the cyclic perfection of diligence. When any Bodhisattva enters into the samadhi that arises from the unobstructed manifestation, all sentient beings attain great happiness, that is the cyclic perfection of meditation. The perfection of wisdom that understands the meaning in all aspects through the body of enlightenment and various aspirations for one's own benefit is the cyclic perfection of wisdom, these are the six cyclic perfections. What are the six common perfections? That which is fully dedicated with the aspiration of giving is the common perfection of giving. The discipline that is fully embraced in order to fully connect with sentient beings, together with the practice of drawing near, is the common perfection of discipline. The patience that is fully embraced by blessing is the common perfection of patience. The diligence that is endowed with compassion is the common perfection of diligence. In order to benefit many beings, to fully mature them at the appropriate time, and to fully dedicate

What is common meditation? It is the perfection of going beyond common meditation. The perfection of wisdom that is without delusion at the juncture of habitual tendencies is the common perfection of wisdom. These are the six common perfections. What are the six uncommon perfections? The perfection of giving, which accomplishes practice in order to master confidence, and which generates various kinds of confidence, is the uncommon perfection of giving. The discipline of a Bodhisattva who does not delight in household life is the uncommon perfection of discipline. The patience that is an uncommon reliance on the profound Dharma is the uncommon perfection of patience. The diligence that arises immeasurably is the uncommon perfection of diligence. The meditation on sentient beings, the meditation with superior thought on the Dharma, and the meditation on the aspect of emptiness are the uncommon perfection of meditation. The correct understanding of individual meanings, the correct understanding of individual definitive words, following the correct understanding of individual Dharmas, arising from the realization of two Dharmas, and the complete knowledge of two kinds of knowing actions are the uncommon perfection of wisdom. These are the six uncommon perfections. What are the six differentiated perfections? That which arises from the perfection of giving and that which accomplishes the perfection of giving is the differentiated perfection of giving. The perfection of discipline is the complete perfection of limbs and parts of the body as appropriate, which is the differentiated perfection of discipline. The perfection of patience that dwells securely within the retinue is the differentiated perfection of patience. The perfection of diligence that accomplishes all purposes is the differentiated perfection of

is the perfection of patience. The perfection of meditation that abides in knowledge in order to directly realize the knowledge of past abodes is the perfection of discriminating meditation. The perfection of wisdom that thoroughly understands the existence of truth is the perfection of discriminating wisdom. These are the six perfections of discrimination. What are the six perfections without fruition? Just as one is blessed to always show the practice of asceticism after finding food on the banks of the Nairanjana River, that is the perfection of giving without fruition. Just as one enters into the emanation of two thousand five hundred stars and abides without focus on the banks of the Ganges River, that is the perfection of discipline without fruition. The perfection of patience that is separated by body, speech, and mind without focus is the perfection of patience without fruition. Effort without discrimination is the perfection of diligence without fruition. The meditation that abides in the ground of cessation is the perfection of meditation without fruition. The wisdom of superior seeing that becomes inexhaustible is the perfection of wisdom without fruition. These are the six perfections without fruition. What are the six perfections of essence? Giving without pride is the perfection of giving of essence. Discipline without pride in the mind is the perfection of discipline of essence. Patience in selflessness is the perfection of patience of essence. Diligence focused on selflessness is the perfection of diligence of essence. Meditation that does not abide in outer and inner is the perfection of meditation of essence. Equanimity without perversion towards all phenomena is
