那被称为持鬘。大仙持鬘之神祇的居处，树木既不太高，也不太矮，各种果实既不太酸，也不太甜，有许多像甘露一样味道鲜美、具有八支的殊胜天味。大仙，那些树的果实大小如木瓜。诸神想要吃什么食物，那食物就近在咫尺。那些神祇只是观看果实食用，而不是用嘴吃。大仙，那些神祇的处所没有极其锋利的荆棘，用鲜花装饰，覆盖着绿草，用各种金银花环装饰，看起来像冰雹一般。大仙，在那处所，持鬘之神祇与天女、天子，身着闪耀的衣饰和珠宝，在星窗、凉亭、树枝上游走，拥有极乐和无上的喜悦。在那里，他们的寿命可达两千年。在那里，出现寿命耗尽的征兆是，他们所栖息的树木，树叶枯萎，枝条下垂，没有花朵和香味。那个众生也会在那树下感到不悦。他之前的花环也会变得陈旧。天界的凉爽宜人的风也会变得温暖。看到那些景象，天女们会发出悲伤的哀号，哭泣叹息。那个众生也会舍弃天上的城市，以及用天树、鲜花和果实装饰的地方，以及与天女们的聚会，福报耗尽。这就是天界的过失。大仙，那时，天女们会围绕着他，发出极度悲伤的声音：唉，无常真是无情啊！如此心中充满喜悦，安住于此，却不情愿地、不由自主地从天界堕落吗？唉，年轻的天神啊，愿我迅速在人间转生为人！如此悲伤哭泣。

That is called Holding Garlands. Great Ascetic, in the abode of those gods of Holding Garlands, the trees are neither too tall nor too short, the various fruits are neither too sour nor too sweet, and there are many excellent divine flavors like nectar, possessing eight branches. Great Ascetic, the size of the fruits of those trees is like that of a wood apple. From among them, whatever food the gods desire to eat, that food is near to them. Those gods only look at the fruits to eat, they do not eat with their mouths. Great Ascetic, the places of those gods are without extremely sharp thorns, adorned with flowers, covered with green grass, adorned with various garlands of gold and silver, appearing like hail. Great Ascetic, in that place, the gods of Holding Garlands dwell with goddesses and divine sons, adorned with supremely radiant garments and ornaments, wandering on star windows, pavilions, and branches, possessing supreme bliss and joy. There, the measure of their lifespan is two thousand years. There, the signs of the exhaustion of life appearing are that the tree under which they dwell, its leaves wither, its branches droop, and it becomes without flowers or fragrance. That being also finds displeasure under that tree. His previous garland also becomes old. The cool and pleasant wind of the heavenly realm also becomes warm. Seeing those sights, those goddesses utter cries of sorrow and lamentation together. That being also abandons the heavenly city, adorned with divine trees, flowers, and fruits, and the assembly of goddesses, and his merit is exhausted. This is the fault of the heavenly realm. Great Ascetic, then, those goddesses surround him, making sounds of great distress, saying: Alas, impermanence is truly merciless! Thus, having arisen with joy in the heart and dwelling here, do they unwillingly and involuntarily fall from the heavenly realm? Alas, young god, may I quickly be reborn as a human in the human world! Thus, they weep in sorrow.

He will possess all happiness. He will take birth in the womb without any illness. In dreams, he will see a marketplace of various merits, and a city adorned with garlands of flowers. These are the signs seen by his mother. Great sage, furthermore, that young god, having died and transferred from the garland-holding god, will be born with great joy. He will delight in white clothes. He will become beautiful, and he will become wise. He will be very attached to desire, and he will delight in walking, wandering, dancing, festivals, performances, and fine clothes. He will delight in all joy, and if he sees the wealth of others, he will desire it. Great sage, these are the signs to be observed of a being being born as a human from the garland-holding god.
