He will not become lazy due to weakness, and his lord will not be discouraged. Such a one will possess the bliss of the heavens and will die at the time of death. Having abandoned his body, his consciousness will be exceedingly joyful and will be born among the gods of the Four Great Kings, in gardens and dense forests. When he is about to die, seeing that host of gods, his face will become like a lotus flower. A fragrant scent will emanate from his mouth, and winds with the scent of various flowers will rise in accordance. Even after he dies, among the gods of the Four Great Kings, his parents will gather, and he will play in the garden, feeling satisfied and proud from experiencing desire, and with his right hand he will touch and see the navel of a goddess. Because of this, consciousness will completely take birth in the lap of that goddess. After seven days have passed, he will manifestly become a youth with a head adorned with immaculate earrings that sway. He will be able to create dancing, performing, singing, and the enjoyment of desires. Great sage, the land of the Four Great Kings' host of gods is adorned with silver and gold, decorated and beautified in various ways. Adorned by hundreds and thousands of goddesses, the high place where the gods reside, naturally beautiful, with winds blowing that are comfortable to the touch. Great sage, the gardens of those gods of the Four Great Kings' host are eighty-four thousand yojanas square, illuminated by jewel lamps. The branches and tips of the trees are adorned with wish-fulfilling tree cloth ornaments and Chinese silk decorations. The spaces between the forests are smooth and pleasing, and between the houses the sounds of lutes, flutes, earthenware drums, and cymbals always arise. Great sage, those who dwell in the abode of the gods are eaters of food morsels, and they will experience extremely fragrant smells, colors, tastes, touches, and perfect qualities. Each of them will have two golden platters, and whatever food they desire will be perfectly accomplished from that platter. Extremely delicious, supremely blissful and cool. If merely smelling it can cause intoxication, what need is there to mention drinking it? Therefore, the young deities there become intoxicated. Great ascetic, the palaces of the deities of the retinue of the Four Great Kings are called "Adornments," always adorned with blooming flowers and beautiful vines. Hundreds of thousands of pillars shining with gold, silver, and vajra make all directions very firm. The ground is distinctly divided by the spreading of divine bedding and cushions. They possess the distinction of being adorned with various alluring forms of goddess statues, pleasing to the eye. Piles of blazing and beautiful divine garments, like the sounds of kalavinka birds and swarms of bees, are present. Their forms are extremely large and very youthful. They are surrounded and filled with exclusively graceful beings who are full of laughter and play, singing, dancing, and playing musical instruments. The pillars of that place are painted with gold and silver water. Silk victory banners are hung, and victory banners and flags are raised. In those palaces, the Four Great Kings—Dhritarashtra, Virudhaka, Virupaksha, and Vaishravana—experience the desires, bliss, and play of the gods, and are exceedingly joyful. Endowed with joy and bliss, they dwell in all happiness, satisfying their senses by singing, dancing, playing musical instruments, and eating divine food. Great ascetic, in that retinue of deities of the Four Great Kings, those young deities have long arms and full flesh, walk like stout elephants, possess the strength and skill of a thousand men, and their divine bodies are exceedingly soft. The scent of their liquor is so strong that a yojana around is filled with the aroma of alcohol. The lifespan of those deities reaches four thousand years, and they do not die prematurely. All of them dwell in bliss, mental ease, and joy. In that retinue of deities, those with good fortune, adorned with the light of pure gold, dwell with hearts full of joy in beautiful, pure gardens adorned with garlands of forests, which produce joy and so forth. When they dwell there, they scatter flowers and jewels and gold.
