When the jeweled vessels form following the sound they themselves emit, and when they abide, two signs of the exhaustion of merit and the end of life will appear: first, the shadow becomes invisible and fragrance does not arise from the flowers, and the sweet sounds of the celestial maidens and all speech are not heard. Furthermore, that young god of the heavenly realm no longer gathers and goes to the abodes of the gods in the heavenly realm. The heavenly abodes are filled with hundreds and thousands of celestial maidens, the tips of the branches are adorned with necklaces, bells, and garlands of flowers, and the sound of fat cuckoos echoes through the forests. There, the groups of celestial maidens, wearing soiled silken garments, roll on the ground, their hearts as firm as vajras. Because they roll on the ground, they find no joy even in places adorned with flower garlands. Dust arises from their bodies, and their eyes change from unblinking to blinking. Like fish emerging from water and being scorched by the sun's rays, they roll around each other, and seeing him standing alone on the ground, the celestial maidens surround him, gazing with hearts as firm as vajras, until their voices become hoarse. They lament thus: Alas, how sad! Alas, how sad! Alas, where has that supreme youth gone? He who is tall, adorned with various ornaments, with full and beautiful cheeks, and a very broad chest, he who wanders among various gardens, has abandoned us and also abandoned the desirable abodes of the gods in the heavenly realm, where is he going? That intense fever destroyed his body, his body like a drop of ghee dissolving into a rock. His body aged and was violently blown by the wind called "dragging." That wind destroyed his body into emptiness, falling like fine powder from the center of the sky. Having fallen in this way, he fully accepted the opportunity to be born in the human realm, and seeing his parents copulating, he entered his mother's womb with a heart of great joy. When he is first born and dwells in his mother's womb, the signs that appear are: his mother becomes very fond of sour foods, particularly fond of bright red clothes, eager to watch all kinds of crowds, and only establishes friendly relations with skills and crafts. After he enters his mother's womb, he will not experience uterine stinging, there will be no drooling, and there will be no yellow discharge. His body will not become ill. In his mother's womb, his hands, feet, and head will be perfectly formed. He will possess birth and splendor, and those who see him will greatly increase in joy. Hearing the stories of the gods of the Four Great Kings lineage will generate joy. He will be fond of generosity, crave alcohol, hold very fragrant incense, and be fond of gardens. His senses will manifest extreme infatuation with women. He will want food again and again, following the sounds of songs, dances, and cymbals, and his complexion will be oily and bluish-green. His eyes will be like blue lapis lazuli (Tibetan: བཻ་དཱུ་རྻ, Sanskrit Devanagari: वैडूर्य, Sanskrit Romanization: vaiḍūrya, Chinese literal meaning: lapis lazuli). These great hermits, stained by the habitual tendencies of body and mind, are regarded as signs of death and transmigration from the lineage of the Four Great Kings. Great hermits, some abandon killing, are filled with faith, give alms with faith, abandon taking what is not given, eating, chewing, licking, sucking, and the distinctions of possessions, and give gems, gold, silver, diamonds, and lapis lazuli (Tibetan: བཻ་དཱུ་རྻ, Sanskrit Devanagari: वैडूर्य, Sanskrit Romanization: vaiḍūrya, Chinese literal meaning: lapis lazuli).
