Making limitless offerings and services to the earth, Limitlessly seeking to hear by practicing wisdom, Limitlessly entering the minds of sentient beings by knowing their thoughts, Limitlessly engaging in the diminishing of cultivated merits and possessions through loving-kindness, Limitlessly accumulating merits by dwelling in solitude through subduing the mind, Limitlessly accumulating calm-abiding and insight, swiftly perfecting the all-knowing wisdom. Noble Son, these are the practices of diligence. Noble Son, the diligence of a Bodhisattva adorns the essence of enlightenment. Noble Son, diligence is the root of all the dharmas of the path to enlightenment. Diligence is the abode of all the dharmas that accomplish wisdom. Diligence is the accumulation of virtuous dharmas, and the distinct and accurate upholding of those accumulated. Diligence does not waste the dharmas previously heard. Diligence gathers the dharmas that should be gathered. Diligence does not gather obscuring dharmas. Diligence thoroughly upholds the dharmas that do not become obscurations. Diligence breaks the shell of the egg of ignorance. Diligence causes the flame of upholding the sacred dharma to blaze. Diligence subdues the senses. Diligence fully protects from perilous paths. Diligence encourages timely and untimely actions. Diligence is strength, and will become the perfection of the ten strengths. Diligence is overwhelming, and will become the perfection of fearlessness. Diligence is the source of immeasurable qualities and wisdom, and will become the perfection of all the Buddha's dharmas. Diligence is the pinnacle, and will become the realization of all-knowing wisdom. Noble Son, the Tathagata, the All-Worldly Joyful One, taught in this way, and twelve thousand Bodhisattvas attained the forbearance of non-arising dharmas. Noble Son, at that time, do you doubt or hesitate, thinking that the Bodhisattva Gonchok Kardawa (Dkon mchog skar mda') was someone else?
