That which is the power of diligence is the root of diligence. That which does not abandon the memory of the unblemished nature of reality is the root of mindfulness. That which knows how to enter into samadhi, to abide in equanimity, and to arise from it without mental disturbance is the root of samadhi. That which, having attained the unblemished dharma, thoroughly establishes those who have become defiled in the unblemished nature of reality is the root of wisdom. Son of good family, furthermore, abandoning all non-virtuous dharmas is the power of faith of a bodhisattva. Accomplishing all virtuous dharmas correctly is the power of diligence. Not forgetting the virtuous dharmas that have been accomplished and those that have not been accomplished is the power of mindfulness. Not desiring the joy and bliss of samadhi, but meditating for the benefit and happiness of all sentient beings, this is the power of samadhi. Knowing all virtuous and non-virtuous dharmas as equal in their own nature, this is the power of wisdom. Son of good family, furthermore, a bodhisattva abandons through faith, accomplishes correctly through diligence, does not waste through mindfulness, and discerns through wisdom. Son of good family, furthermore, a bodhisattva thoroughly abandons self-grasping through faith, abandons grasping at what belongs to self through diligence, utterly transcends attachment to assemblies through mindfulness, abandons the sixty-two views through samadhi, and thoroughly abandons the afflictions that have become the connection of habitual tendencies through wisdom. Son of good family, this is the completely pure conduct of the powers of a bodhisattva. Son of good family, what then is the completely pure conduct of the powers of a bodhisattva? It is that by which, having become firmly established in those powers, one will not be deceived by all the maras, will not be robbed by the two vehicles of shravakas and pratyekabuddhas, will not turn back from this Great Vehicle, will not be overcome by all the afflictions, will remain steadfast in one's previous vows, one's mind will be exceedingly firm, one's body will be endowed with strength, one's senses will be concealed, and one will not be overcome by enemies, and

不为一切外道所动摇。 种姓之子，如是菩萨以信力，不做不应做之事。 以精进力，做应做之事。 以念力，不浪费已做之业。 以禅定力，不为色、声、香、味、触所伤。 以智慧力，彻底超越后悔和一切烦恼。 种姓之子，又，菩萨以信力，不随他人之信而行。 以精进力，不中途退缩。 以念力，获得陀罗尼和无碍辩才。 以禅定力，平等地宣说佛法。 以智慧力，断除一切众生的疑惑。 种姓之子，又，菩萨以信力，圆满希求之力。 以精进力，圆满解脱之力。 以念力，圆满解脱智慧见之力。 以禅定力，圆满心之信和意念之力。 以智慧力，满足一切行为。 种姓之子，又，菩萨以信力，彻底舍弃悭吝之垢。 以精进力，完全施舍我之所有。 以念力，完全回向菩提。 以禅定力，以平等之心施舍。 以智慧力，不希求异熟果报。 种姓之子，又，菩萨以信力，彻底舍弃破戒之垢。 以精进力，不违越诸学处。 以念力，完全回向菩提。 以禅定力，行于调伏、寂静和了知的地。 以智慧力，彻底舍弃有为之戒律。

Unwavering against all external adversaries. Son of the lineage, thus, a Bodhisattva, with the power of faith, does not do what should not be done. With the power of diligence, he does what should be done. With the power of mindfulness, he does not waste the deeds he has done. With the power of Samadhi, he is not harmed by forms, sounds, smells, tastes, and tactile sensations. With the power of wisdom, he utterly transcends regret and all afflictions. Son of the lineage, furthermore, a Bodhisattva, with the power of faith, does not follow the faith of others. With the power of diligence, he does not become discouraged midway. With the power of mindfulness, he thoroughly obtains Dharani and eloquence. With the power of Samadhi, he teaches the Dharma equally. With the power of wisdom, he cuts off all doubts of all sentient beings. Son of the lineage, furthermore, a Bodhisattva, with the power of faith, perfects the power of aspiration. With the power of diligence, he perfects the power of liberation. With the power of mindfulness, he perfects the power of seeing the wisdom of liberation. With the power of Samadhi, he perfects the power of faith and intention of the mind. With the power of wisdom, he satisfies all actions. Son of the lineage, furthermore, a Bodhisattva, with the power of faith, thoroughly abandons the stain of miserliness. With the power of diligence, he completely gives away all that is his. With the power of mindfulness, he completely dedicates to Bodhi. With the power of Samadhi, he gives with an equal mind. With the power of wisdom, he has no hope for the ripening result. Son of the lineage, furthermore, a Bodhisattva, with the power of faith, thoroughly abandons the stain of immoral conduct. With the power of diligence, he does not transgress the trainings. With the power of mindfulness, he completely dedicates to Bodhi. With the power of Samadhi, he goes to the ground of tamed, pacified, and knowing. With the power of wisdom, he thoroughly abandons the precepts of manifest action.
