Therefore, he knows that all dharmas are without arising, without ceasing, without diminishing, and without abiding. He also separately understands the arising and ceasing of all dharmas. When separately understanding, he thinks: "From where do these dharmas arise? And where will the cessation go?" Therefore, he does not truly see the arising and ceasing of dharmas. He knows that dharmas do not come from anywhere, nor do they go anywhere, and thus he realizes the cessation of all feelings. Even after realizing it, he does not cling to it. Why is that? Because he causes the cessation of feelings for all sentient beings, not just his own. Noble son, this Bodhisattva, upheld by skillful means and great compassion, abides in the mindfulness of observing feelings in feelings. He thoroughly knows the cessation of feelings, but does not manifest the cessation of feelings. Abiding in the practice of mindfulness of observing feelings in feelings, he truly knows the peace and complete peace of all feelings. In this, there is no experience. In this, there is no one who feels. All these dharmas are empty, devoid of self and what belongs to self. They are not associated with the doer and the feeler. They depend on causes and conditions, without a master, without mine, without grasping. He does not truly observe the substance of those causes and conditions. After not observing it, he thinks like this: "Just as conditions are empty, so too are the dharmas that arise from conditions empty." He understands the meaning of emptiness with wisdom, the body is peaceful, the mind is peaceful, he understands the meaning, he understands the dharmas. Knowing with wisdom, practicing the mindfulness of observing feelings in feelings, this is the pure conduct of a Bodhisattva abiding in the mindfulness of observing feelings in feelings. Noble son, what is the pure conduct of a Bodhisattva's mind abiding in the mindfulness of observing the mind? Noble son, the Bodhisattva abides in Bodhi with the mindfulness of observing the mind.

The mindfulness of the mind is very closely established, and the mind is sought everywhere with the wisdom of mindfulness. When he seeks the mind everywhere, he does not see the mind truly within, nor does he see the mind truly outside, nor does he see the mind truly inside and outside, nor does he see the mind truly on the aggregates, nor does he see the mind truly on the elements, nor does he see the mind truly on the sense bases. Therefore, Because he does not see the mind truly, he seeks the continuum of the mind, thinking, "It will arise from having an object." He also thinks this: "Is the object other and the mind other, or is the object whatever it is, that itself is the mind?" If the object is other and the mind is other, then the mind becomes two. However, if the object is whatever it is, that itself is the mind, then how can the mind see the mind? It is not possible for the mind to see the mind. For example, the edge of a sword cannot cut the edge of the sword itself, and the tip of a finger cannot touch the tip of the finger itself, similarly, the mind itself cannot see the mind itself, thinking thus. Therefore, from such proper application, the mind does not abide in cessation, is not permanent, is not firmly established, is not without cause, does not contradict conditions, is not produced from it nor from another, is neither it itself nor another, the continuum of the mind, the proliferation of the mind, the nature of the mind, the mind does not abide, the mind is without cause, the mind is without appearance, and how the self-nature of the mind, truly does not disturb suchness, thus he knows. Thus he sees. As suchness is, so he knows those minds to be emptiness. Seeing thus, this is the pure conduct of the son of good family, the bodhisattva, establishing mindfulness of following the mind with the mind. Son of good family, furthermore, for the mind, he does not see even a little, does not discriminate, does not think, does not discriminate, unwavering arrogant mind.

None. This absence of elaboration is also the mindfulness of a Bodhisattva, observing the mind following the mind. Son of good family, just as the mind is formless, so too are the roots of virtue manifested by the mind formless. Just as the roots of virtue manifested by the mind are formless, so too is the dedication to the mind of enlightenment formless. Just as the dedication to the mind of enlightenment is formless, so too is enlightenment itself formless. Therefore, however the mind acts, so it is. However the action, so too is enlightenment. However enlightenment is, so too is dedication. The nature of the mind is enlightenment. The nature of enlightenment is all phenomena. Whoever knows how to thoroughly distinguish the mind in this way, this is the mindfulness of a Bodhisattva, observing the mind following the mind. Son of good family, furthermore, what is swift? Extremely swift, moving without abiding, like a monkey and the wind, like the flow of a river, like the wick of an oil lamp, going far and long, without a body, craving objects, skilled in the six sense sources, furthermore, the mind abiding in the knowledge of others, single-pointed, not scattering, not scattering, single-pointed in quiescence, without distraction, this is called mind-abiding. What is the complete perfection of mindfulness in that? It is knowing the mind as discriminating, knowing the mind as abiding in the realm of phenomena, knowing the mind as abiding in the mind, knowing the mind as naturally luminous, knowing the mind as it is, knowing the mind thoroughly with manifest knowledge, knowing the mind as an illusory phenomenon, knowing the mind as the equality of the three times, knowing the mind as suchness, knowing the mind as unwavering and without grasping, this is called the complete perfection of mindfulness. Whatever is the nature of one's own mind, know well that the nature of the minds of all sentient beings is also the same. Having fully known the nature of the mind, teach the Dharma accordingly. Whatever is the essence of one's own mind, the mind of all sentient beings
