One should generate the thought of gathering with Dharma after attaining Bodhi. If his alms become bad, he should generate such a thought: bad food will make my body light, I will be able to endure renunciation, my urine and feces will decrease, the faith that is given to me will be less, my body will be light, and my mind will be light. I will have less drowsiness and sleep, and I will not be entangled by the mind of desire. One should generate such mindfulness. If he obtains abundant and easily acquired alms, he should also eat appropriately. It should also be done as the nature of abandonment, scattering the food from the alms on any stone slab, and generating such a thought: whether it is a wild animal or a flock of birds, whoever wants material food, give it to them, let them eat it. After he has eaten the food, he should wash the bowl and hands, and live relying on the monastery. The Dharma that was previously contemplated should not be abandoned either. Kashyapa, if a monk lives in a monastery, and snakes and fierce wild animals come before ordinary people who have not attained the fruit, he should not be afraid or frightened of them. He should think: I have abandoned my body and life from the beginning, and then I came to the place of the monastery. Therefore, I should not be afraid, I should not be frightened. One should generate a mind of loving-kindness, completely abandon hatred, abandon fear, and generate such a thought. If after doing so, the snakes and wild animals kill and eat him, he should also think: I cannot satisfy these wild animals with just material things, but after they eat my flesh, they will live comfortably. I have also obtained meaning from a meaningless body, and I have obtained a very good gain. Now I should gather them with material things, and after attaining Bodhi, I should gather them with Dharma. One should generate such a thought. Kashyapa, a monk living in a monastery should live in the monastery in this way, regardless of body and life. If, while living in the place of the monastery, non-humans come, whether they are ugly or beautiful.

Also, do not be attached to it, and do not be angry. If the gods who have seen the Buddha in the past come to the abode of the bhikkhu araññaka and ask questions completely, then the bhikkhu araññaka should explain the Dharma to those gods as he has heard it. If those gods ask profound questions completely, and the bhikkhu araññaka seems unable to answer, then he should be without arrogance, and not despise because he has not learned, but should receive the teachings of the Buddha, strive to understand those Dharmas that have not yet been understood, and when he understands, then at that time answer all the questions. One should say: I am here to listen to the Dharma, please ask freely. Gautama bhikkhu araññaka should make those gods understand in this way. Gautama, furthermore, the bhikkhu araññaka who lives in the arañña should cultivate the concept of arañña very much. In this regard, this body is like grass, trees, walls, mounds, and scarecrows, without a master, without mine, without complete grasping. This body has no self, sentient being, life, and person, these dharmas are dependent arising, arising from causes and conditions, arising from the collection of actions. In any case, all that becomes the view of self will tend to quiescence, I should thus properly and individually examine. The dharmas of emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness should also be constantly remembered. One should learn in this way. The one who dwells in the arañña place should observe how the grass, trees, gums, medicines, and forests arise and decay, and how these external things are without a master, without mine, without complete grasping, they are unmoving and without action, arising and decaying in emptiness, no one causes them to arise, and no one causes them to cease, grasp this characteristic. Similarly, this body is also like grass, walls, trees, mounds, and scarecrows, without mine, without complete grasping, without moving, without acting, arising from the collection of causes and conditions. If causes and conditions are not complete, it will not arise, there is meaning to this.
