What is called discipline is that in which there is no self, no belonging to self, no action, and also no non-action, no agent, and also no non-agent, not flowing, and also not non-flowing, no complete conduct, and also no non-complete conduct, no name, no form, no sign, and also no non-sign, not completely pacified, and also not non-completely pacified, no grasping, no abandoning, no object of grasping, and also no non-object of grasping, no sentient being, and also no designation as a sentient being, no word, and also no designation as a word, no mind, and also no designation as mind, no world, and also no non-world, no support, and also no non-support, not praising one's own discipline, not denigrating others' discipline, not being arrogant because of discipline, and not conceptualizing about discipline. This is called the undefiled discipline of the noble ones, not belonging to the world, separated from the three realms, and without any support. Then, the Bhagavan spoke these verses: The one with discipline has no defilement and nothing at all. The one with discipline has no pride, for there is no reliance. The one with discipline has no darkness and no bondage. The one with discipline has no dust and no fault. Peaceful, utterly peaceful, the mind that is completely peaceful. Free from thought and discrimination, and without afflictions. Completely free from agitation and all pride. That is the one with discipline in the teaching of the Buddha of Light Protection. Not looking at the body, not clinging to cherishing life. Having no desire for all births in existence. Truly entered and well abiding in suchness. That is the one with discipline in the teaching of the Buddha of Light Protection. Not stained by clinging, not dwelling in the worlds. Having attained illumination, without self, nothing at all. Not perceiving as self, nor perceiving as other. Because of completely knowing perceptions, discipline is completely pure. For whom there is no near shore, no far shore, and no middle. Not clinging to either the near shore or the far shore. Without bonds and attachments, without pretense.

Now there is no leakage. This is the discipline of the Buddha's teachings, the protector of light. The mind is free from attachment to names and forms. This is a mind that is equally placed and very subdued. Whoever has no self and no clinging to self, Only then can it be said that he abides in the precepts. There is no pride in learning the Pratimoksha. He will not be attached to it here. Before that, seek the path of the noble ones. This is a sign of pure morality. Discipline is not the main thing, and there is no attachment to concentration. Before that, diligently seek the practice of wisdom. Without an object, it is the lineage of the noble ones. This discipline is praised by the Sugatas. The mind is liberated from the view of the aggregates of destruction. He does not think of me and mine here. Especially inclined to the emptiness of the Buddha's realm. His discipline is unparalleled. By abiding in discipline, one can also attain Samadhi. After attaining Samadhi, diligently practice wisdom. With wisdom, one can attain the light of wisdom. With the complete purity of wisdom, discipline is perfected. When these verses of manifestation were spoken, the minds of eight hundred monks were liberated from the leakages of non-acceptance. Thirty-two thousand beings in all dharmas obtained the pure Dharma eye, free from dust and without defilement. These five hundred monks who had attained Samadhi did not enter the profound Dharma teachings. Because they did not understand or believe, they rose from their seats and left. Then, the venerable Mahakashyapa said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, these five hundred monks who have attained Samadhi do not enter the profound Dharma teachings. Because they did not understand or believe, they rose from their seats and departed. The Blessed One said: Kashyapa, thus, these monks with pride enter this pure and undefiled discipline. But because they do not understand or believe, they are frightened, completely frightened, completely extremely frightened. Kashyapa, because the manifestation of the verses is profound, the Bodhi of the Buddhas and Blessed Ones is profound. Those who have not generated roots of virtue in this, who are possessed by evil friends, and whose faith is not strong.
