Those endowed with life said that there is no action higher than entering into the absorption of cessation of perception and feeling. When this Dharma discourse was being taught, those five hundred monks, without clinging, their minds were completely liberated from the outflows. After their minds were liberated, they went to where the Blessed One was, bowed their heads at the feet of the Blessed One, and sat down on one side. Then, the venerable Subhuti said to those monks: Venerable ones, where are you coming from? Where have you arrived from? They said: Venerable Subhuti, the Blessed One has taught the Dharma of not going anywhere and not coming from anywhere. He said: Venerable ones, who is your teacher? They replied: One who is unborn and does not enter into Nirvana. He said: How did you hear the Dharma? They replied: Neither for bondage, nor for liberation. He said: Who tamed you? They replied: One who has no body and no mind. He said: How do you strive? They replied: Neither to abandon ignorance, nor to generate knowledge. He said: How are you liberated? They replied: Neither for union, nor for abandonment. He said: Whose disciples are you? They replied: Those who have neither attainment nor perfect enlightenment. He said: Who are your companions in the pure life? They replied: Those who do not wander in the three realms. He said: Venerable ones, when will you enter into Nirvana? They replied: When the emanation of the Tathagata enters into Nirvana. He said: Have you done what needs to be done? They replied: Because we have fully understood self-grasping and grasping at what belongs to self. He said: Have your afflictions been exhausted? They replied: Because all dharmas have been completely extinguished. He said: Have you subdued the demons? They replied: Because the skandha demon is not visible. He said: Have you honored the teacher? They replied: Neither with body, nor with speech, nor with mind. He said: Have you purified the place of giving with generosity? They replied: Because there is no grasping and no accumulation. He said: Do you have rebirth?

Have you transcended? He replied: Because there is no cessation and no permanence. He asked: Have you entered the place of giving? He replied: Because I am completely liberated from all attachments. He asked: Where do those with life go? He replied: To where the emanation of the Thus-Gone One goes. Thus, the venerable Subhuti having fully inquired, those monks replied: Eight hundred monks in that assembly, without attachment, their minds were liberated from all defilements. Thirty-two thousand living beings, in the Dharma, obtained the Dharma eye, free from dust and stainless, completely pure. Then, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva named Sarvadarśana, being assembled in that very assembly, arose from his seat, draped his upper robe over one shoulder, knelt on his right knee, and with his palms joined, bowed towards where the Blessed One was, and said this to the Blessed One: Blessed One, how should a Bodhisattva who wishes to study this section of the Great Jewel Heap Sutra train? The Blessed One said: Son of good family, cut off and cut off, and then teach the training in this Dharma section. This Dharma section will become a great benefit for those noble beings who make diligence their essence. Son of good family, for example, if someone enters a boat of reeds and wants to cross the great Ganges River, son of good family, what do you think? With what kind of diligence should that person seek that boat? He replied: Blessed One, with diligence that has strength. Why is that? Because I have entered the great river, and if I do not reach the other shore, the boat will break in the middle, so I think. The Blessed One said: Sarvadarśana, thus a Bodhisattva should train in this Dharma section with even greater diligence that has strength, and with great diligence, all the Buddha's teachings should be perfectly accomplished. Alas! This body is impermanent. If I have not taken its essence, the time of death will come in the middle, so one should keep in mind.
