Although abiding as an observer, one does not fall into clinging to self by observing the body; regarding all feelings, although abiding as an observer of feelings, one does not fall into clinging to self by observing feelings; regarding the mind, although abiding as an observer of the mind, one does not fall into clinging to self by observing the mind; regarding phenomena, although abiding as an observer of phenomena, one does not fall into clinging to self by observing phenomena, and thus heals. With the four right abandonments, one abandons all non-virtuous dharmas and fully perfects all virtuous dharmas. With the four legs of miraculous power, one abandons clinging to the entirety of body and mind. With the five faculties and five powers, one heals those who lack faith, are lazy, forgetful, distracted, and lack awareness. With the seven branches of enlightenment, one heals those who are extremely ignorant and unknowing of the Dharma. With the eightfold noble path, one heals perverse wisdom, all attacks from others, and those who have entered the wrong path. Light Protector, this is called true healing. Light Protector, one should strive to learn this healing of the Bodhisattva. Light Protector, among all the physicians and disciples of physicians in Jambudvipa (Southern Continent), Jivaka is said to be the most excellent. Light Protector, if all the beings in the three-thousand great-thousand world system were like the king of medicine, Jivaka, and if someone were to ask them, "What is the medicine to heal those who dwell in views and regret?" they would not know, show, or teach it. Light Protector, therefore, the Bodhisattva should think thus: "I should not be satisfied with just worldly medicine; I should seek the medicine of wisdom that transcends the world. All roots of virtue should also be well and truly accomplished." Having thought thus, one should go to the four directions to seek that medicine of wisdom that transcends the world, and heal beings with true healing. Heal beings with true healing. Light Protector, what is the medicine of wisdom that transcends the world? It is as follows:

and knowing the entry into conditions, and having faith in the dharmas of no self, no sentient being, no life, no nurture, and no person, and not hating the dharmas that are not perceived by emptiness, and diligently seeking sentient beings. Thus, one seeks the mind in this way: What mind becomes desirous, or becomes hateful, or becomes deluded? Is it past, or future, or present? Among these, the past mind has ceased. The future mind has not yet come. The present mind has no abiding place. Light Protector, the mind is neither inside, nor outside, nor is it perceived in the absence of both. Light Protector, the mind is inconceivable, unteachable, not a support, without appearance, without consciousness, without abiding. Light Protector, all the Buddhas have not seen, do not see, and will not see the mind. Except for the dharmas that arise from perverse conceptions, the mind is what all the Buddhas have not seen, do not see, and will not see. What kind of cause should one look for? Light Protector, the mind is like an illusion, holding many forms of arising through unreal imputation. Light Protector, the mind is like the flow of a river, arising and ceasing in the dwelling of the eye. Light Protector, the mind is like the wind, traveling far and wide, ungraspable. Light Protector, the mind is like the light of a lamp flame, arising from causes and conditions. Light Protector, the mind is like the sky, defiled by the afflictions of proximity and sudden afflictions. Light Protector, the mind is like lightning, instantly decaying and not abiding. Light Protector, the mind is like a monkey, desiring all objects. Light Protector, the mind is like a painter, manifestly performing various actions. Light Protector, the mind is not abiding because of the arising of various afflictions. Light Protector, the mind is solitary because there is no connection between the two, and it is non-dual. Light Protector, the mind is like a king because it has dominion over all dharmas.
