, and that which is unborn is the cessation of suffering; that which is the cessation of suffering is the eternal cessation; that which is the eternal cessation is the imperishable; that which is imperishable is that which does not perish; that which does not perish is the sky. Son of the gods, I speak thus to that son of the lineage. Son of the gods, if there are others who come to me for the sake of ordination, I say to them thus: Son of the lineage, do not generate the mind of ordination. Why is that? Like this, the mind is without arising, so do not disturb it. Son of the lineage, if you do not shave your hair, you are well ordained. The son of the gods said: Manjushri, based on what do you say that? Manjushri said: Son of the gods, the Tathagata is indivisible and without difference, therefore he shows the Dharma. The son of the gods said: Manjushri, what is indivisible and what is without difference? Manjushri said: Son of the gods, form is indivisible and without difference. Feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness are indivisible and without difference. Son of the gods, whoever thinks in their heart, "I will shave my hair," dwells in self-grasping and grasping at what is mine. Therefore, those who dwell in self-grasping and grasping at what is mine, and who act in self-grasping and grasping at what is mine, do not see equality. If there is attachment to self, there will be no attachment to hair; if there is attachment to hair, there will be attachment to sentient beings; and if there is attachment to sentient beings, there will be the thought of shaving. Son of the gods, whoever has no attachment to self has no attachment to others. Whoever has no attachment to others has no self-grasping. Whoever has no self-grasping abandons grasping at what is mine. Whoever abandons grasping at what is mine does not discriminate. Whoever does not discriminate does not change. Whoever does not change is without elaboration. Whoever is without elaboration does not take, does not abandon, does not do, does not destroy, does not cut, does not separate, does not join, does not separate, does not diminish, does not abandon, does not increase, does not fill, does not gather, does not scatter, does not become arrogant, does not speak.

Does not speak, does not narrate, does not elaborately narrate, because that is abiding in truth. The son of the gods asked: Manjushri, what is called truth? Manjushri replied: Son of the gods, what is called truth is space, space does not diminish, does not increase, does not arise, does not perish, therefore space is truth. Truth is emptiness. Truth is suchness. Truth is the realm of dharma. Truth is the limit of truth. What is truth, that is unborn. Why is that? Because it is unborn and will not become born, therefore it is unborn. Son of the gods, furthermore, if someone comes to me for the sake of ordination, I will say to him: Good man, if you do not hold and wear the kasaya, then you are ordained. The son of the gods asked: Manjushri, based on what do you say that? Manjushri replied: Son of the gods, the Tathagata teaches the Dharma because he is without attachment, not because of attachment. The son of the gods asked: Manjushri, what is non-attachment? Manjushri replied: Son of the gods, he does not cling to form as being permanent or impermanent. He does not cling to feeling, perception, volition, or consciousness as being permanent or impermanent. He does not cling to the eye. He does not cling to form. He does not cling to the ear. He does not cling to sound. He does not cling to the nose. He does not cling to smell. He does not cling to the tongue. He does not cling to taste. He does not cling to the body. He does not cling to touch. He does not cling to the mind. He does not cling to the dharma. He does not cling to desire. He does not cling to hatred. He does not cling to delusion. He does not cling to perversion. Son of the gods, in short, he does not cling to all dharmas. He does not abandon, he does not renounce, he does not discard. Son of the gods, whoever has the notion of clinging to the kasaya, I say that he is a person with views. Son of the gods, holding the kasaya will not become pure or liberated. Why is that? Son of the gods, because the Bodhi of the Buddhas, the Bhagavad, is without defilement. The son of the gods asked: Manjushri,
