Should be taught well in this way. If someone wants to eliminate and destroy the suffering of aging of the infinite and boundless beings, then just in a moment of thought, the infinite and boundless roots of virtue will increase. If the infinite and boundless roots of virtue increase, then wanting to eliminate the suffering of birth, the suffering of death, the suffering of separation from loved ones, the suffering of encountering the unloved, the suffering of not getting what one wants, the suffering of the animal realm, the suffering of the Yama world, the suffering of hell beings, the suffering of cold hell beings, the suffering of hot hell beings of the infinite and boundless beings, what need is there to mention it? Good Hand, furthermore, the Bodhisattva should be taught well in this way: If someone wants to eliminate the suffering of the infinite and boundless beings, even the small suffering related to just one moment of thought, then just in a moment of thought, the infinite and boundless roots of virtue will increase. If the infinite and boundless roots of virtue increase, then wanting to eliminate the suffering of birth of the infinite and boundless beings in the infinite and immeasurable future kalpas, what need is there to mention it? Good Hand, furthermore, the Bodhisattva should be taught well in this way: If someone wants to obtain the qualities of a Pratyekabuddha or the qualities of a Shravaka, then just in a moment of thought, the infinite and boundless roots of virtue will increase. If the infinite and boundless roots of virtue increase, then whether it is a son or daughter of good family, if they want to attain and perfect the infinite and immeasurable qualities of the Buddha's Dharma, the infinite and immeasurable powers, and all the powers, and generate faith and aspiration for this, what need is there to mention it? Even if one is negligent or clings to things in a reversed way, these four causes, four conditions, and four objects of focus are the four kinds of infinite and boundless accumulation of virtuous roots, and the accumulation of the provisions for enlightenment.

The four limitless and boundless things increase and expand in every moment of thought, namely, in every moment of thought, four limitless and boundless aggregates of virtuous roots arise, and four limitless and boundless aggregates of the accumulation of perfect Bodhi arise. If these are not difficult to obtain perfect Bodhi, then why should I, in every moment of thought, correctly see the four limitless and boundless aggregates of virtuous roots, and the four limitless and boundless aggregates of the accumulation of perfect Bodhi, and correctly see that from that basis it is not difficult to obtain perfect Bodhi, but for the sake of life, abandon the diligence to obtain perfect Bodhi? The four great oceans, the eastern direction has a boundary and an end, and the southern, western, northern, and upper directions also have a boundary and an end, but those four limitless and boundless great oceans of virtuous roots and the accumulation of Bodhi do not have a boundary and an end. If in every moment of my thought, these four great oceans of virtuous roots and the accumulation of Bodhi increase and expand, and I can obtain perfect Bodhi, then why, for the sake of life, should I abandon diligence? Good Arms, the Bodhisattva should also learn correctly in this way: If those who have become lions, tigers, dogs, jackals, vultures, cranes, crows, owls, insects, bees, small bees, and flesh flies can also manifest and perfectly awaken to Buddhahood, then since I have already been born as a human, why should I, for the sake of life, abandon the diligence to obtain perfect Bodhi? Good Arms, the Bodhisattva should also learn correctly in this way: If a hundred or a thousand people can realize and obtain Buddhahood, then why can I not realize and obtain it here? Tathagatas, Arhats, and Samyaksambuddhas as numerous as the sands of the Ganges have also realized and obtained it. The Ganges

Just as the Tathāgatas, Arhats, Perfectly Awakened Buddhas, as numerous as the sands of the Ganges, have realized and attained enlightenment, why should I, for the sake of my life, abandon the diligence that will lead to the attainment of perfect Bodhi? Lotus Hand, moreover, the Bodhisattva initiates diligence. If someone says, "The Buddha teaches," whether it is spoken by the Buddha, or spoken by the Śrāvakas, or spoken by the Bodhisattvas, or even any Dharma spoken by madmen, and the perfection of generosity, the perfection of ethics, the perfection of patience, the perfection of diligence, the perfection of meditation, the perfection of wisdom are fulfilled, and one can obtain the Dharma of the Buddha, and one can obtain perfect Bodhi, and any Dharma that can obtain omniscience, one should always listen to it constantly, like a fire burning on one's head and clothes, determine it, and contemplate it. A wise and diligent person acts like an Udu tree and contemplates with his mind, even if obstructed by short spears, he should always hold those Dharmas constantly like a fire burning on his head and clothes, fully understand them, speak them, read them, remember them, proclaim them to others, and make them understand. A wise and diligent person acts like a bamboo and contemplates with his mind, even if obstructed by short spears, whether entrusted or not entrusted, for the benefit of all sentient beings, and whatever actions are in accordance with Dharma, for the happiness of this world or the happiness of the next world, one should make one's own body a close companion and a means. For example, the four great elements, without obscuration and without attachment, are the close companions and means of all sentient beings. Lotus Hand, similarly, the Bodhisattva should also make his own body a close companion and a means for all sentient beings, and for the Buddha, the Dharma, the Sangha, the Bodhisattva, the Acharya, the Guru, the elderly, the sick, and the helpless, one should completely...
