ང་འདོད་པར་མི་བྱེད་དོ། །འོད་སྲུང་མི་བླུན་པོ་དེ་དག་ནི་གཞི་དེས་འཚོ་བར་འགྱུར་བར་སེམས་ཏེ། དེ་དག་གི་དོན་བྱའོ་སྙམ་དུ་སེམས་ལ་དོན་མེད་པ་ཁོ་ན་བྱེད་པ་ཡིན་ནོ། འོད་སྲུང་རིགས་ཀྱི་བུ་དང་རིགས་ཀྱི་བུ་མོ་བསོད་ནམས་འདོད་པ་ཁོ་ན་ཡིན་པ་གང་དག་གིས་དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པའི་སྐུ་གཟུགས་བྱེད་དུ་བཅུག་ན་ནི་དེ་དག་ལ་བསོད་ནམས་དཔག་ཏུ་མེད་པ་སྐྱེད་པར་འགྱུར་རོ། །འོད་སྲུང་དུད་འགྲོའི་སྐྱེ་གནས་སུ་སྐྱེས་པ་རྣམས་ཀྱི་ལུས་གཟུགས་འཚོང་བ་ཡང་ལེགས་པ་མ་ཡིན་ན་དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པའི་སྐུ་གཟུགས་འཚོང་བ་ལྟ་སྨོས་ཀྱང་ཅི་དགོས་ན། མི་བླུན་པོ་དེ་དག་ནི་དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པའི་སྐུ་གཟུགས་བྱེད་དུ་བཅུག་ནས་ཁྱིམ་པའི་ལག་ཏུ་འཚོང་བར་བྱེད་ཅིང་དེས་འཚོ་བར་སེམས་པར་བྱེད་དོ། །འོད་སྲུང་འདི་ལྟ་སྟེ་དཔེར་ན་མི་བྱིས་པ་དང་འདྲ་བ་ཤེས་རབ་འཆལ་བའི་རང་བཞིན་ཅན་ལ་ལ་ཞིག་ཡོད་པར་གྱུར་ལ་དེས་བདུད་རྩི་ཡོངས་སུ་སྤངས་ནས་དུག་ཟ་བར་བྱེད་པ་དེ་བཞིན་དུ། འོད་སྲུང་མི་བླུན་པོ་གང་དག་ཟང་ཟིང་གི་ཕྱིར་སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་སྐུ་གཟུགས་བྱེད་དུ་བཅུག་ནས་བདག་ཉིད་དུག་དང་བཅས་པར་བྱེད་པ་དེ་དག་ཀྱང་དེ་ལྟ་བུ་ཡིན་པ་སྙམ་དུ་ང་སེམས་སོ། །འོད་སྲུང་ལེགས་པར་གསུངས་པའི་ཆོས་འདུལ་བ་འདི་ལ་དུག་ཅེས་བྱ་བ་ནི་འདི་ལྟ་སྟེ་རྙེད་པ་ཡིན་ན། དེ་ལ་མི་བླུན་པོ་ཁྲོ་བས་ཟིལ་གྱིས་ནོན་པ་གཅིག་ལ་གཅིག་འཐབ་པ་དང་། རྩོད་པ་དང་། མཚང་འདྲུ་བར་བྱེད་པ་དེ་དག་ནི་དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་ལ་མཆོད་པར་བྱའོ་ཞེས་ཟེར་ཞིང་བདག་ཉིད་སེམས་ཅན་དམྱལ་བར་འགྲོ་བར་བྱེད་དོ། །འོད་སྲུང་འདི་ལྟ་སྟེ་དཔེར་ན་མི་ཐབས་ལ་མི་མཁས་པ་ལ་ལ་ཞིག་གཡུལ་ངོར་ཞུགས་པ་ན་རང་གི་མཚོན་གྱིས་རང་ལ་འདེབས་པར་བྱེད་པ་དེ་བཞིན་དུ། འོད་སྲུང་མི་བླུན་པོ་དེ་དག་ཀྱང་དམ་པའི་ཆོས་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་སེམས་ཅན་དམྱལ་བར་འགྲོ་བར་འགྱུར་རོ། །འོད་སྲུང་རིགས་ཀྱི་བུའམ། རིགས་ཀྱི་བུ་མོ་གང་གིས་དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པའི་སྐུ་གཟུགས་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་སྣ་བདུན་ལས་བྱས་པ་ཤིན་དུ་ཟིན་པར་བྱས་པ། བྱི་དོར་ལེགས་པར་བྱས་པ། ཆུ་ཞེང་དུ་རི་རབ་ཙམ་ཡོང་བ་བྱེད་དུ་བཅུག་སྟེ། དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པའི་སྐུ་གཟུགས་དེ་ལྟ་བུ་དག་གིས་སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་ཞིང་གང་གཱའི་ཀླུང་གི་བྱེ་མ་སྙེད་དག་འདི་ལྟ་སྟེ་དཔེར་ན་བུ་རམ་ཤིང་གི་ཚལ་ལམ། འདམ་བུའི་ཚལ་ལམ། འབྲས་ཀྱི་ཞིང་ངམ། ཏིལ་གྱི་ཞིང་ལྟར་མདབ་ཆགས་སུ་ལོངས་སུ་བཀང་བར་གྱུར་ན། འོད་སྲུང་འདི་ཇི་སྙམ་དུ་སེམས། རིགས

Kashyap, even selling the bodies of beings born in the animal realm is not good, what need is there to mention selling the body of the Tathagata? Those foolish people have the body of the Tathagata made and then sell it into the hands of householders, and they think that they live by this. Kashyap, this is like a child who has impure wisdom, he abandons nectar and eats poison. Kashyap, those foolish people who have the Buddha's image made for the sake of material gain, thereby making themselves contaminated with poison, I think that they are also like that. Kashyap, this Vinaya, which is well spoken, is called poison, just like gaining profit. Those foolish people who are overcome by anger, fighting with each other, Arguing, exposing each other's faults, they say that this is offering to the Tathagata, but they themselves go to the hell of sentient beings. Kashyap, this is like someone who is not skilled in methods, when he enters the battlefield, he strikes himself with his own weapon. Kashyap, those foolish people will also go to the hell of sentient beings because of the holy Dharma. Kashyap, whichever son of good family or daughter of good family has a Tathagata's image made of the seven precious substances, which is very exquisite, well polished, and whose height is equal to Mount Sumeru, and fills Buddha lands as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River with such Tathagata's images, like a sugarcane grove, a reed thicket, a rice field, or a sesame field. 或者种姓之女，认为从那基础上能积累更多福德吗？ 具光（འོད་སྲུང་，梵文：Kāśyapa，迦叶）禀告说： 世尊，即使只允许造如来身像一指节大小，也能积累很多福德，更何况不让造如来身像如须弥山般大小呢？ 世尊说： 具光，你应信受，你应领会。 胜过那，若有菩萨对如来身像作意，乃至仅是响板之声，也能获得诸深妙法之忍，那会积累更多福德。 胜过那，若有人安住于戒蕴，受持四句偈，并且也了知那四句偈的意义，也为仅仅一个有情宣说，那会积累更多福德。 具光，于此如何对如来身像作意呢？ 具光，于此菩萨应随学菩萨大精进。 具光，过去曾有无数劫，极其众多，极其甚多，广大，无量，不可思议，不可估量之过去，在那时，那时有如来、应供、正等觉，名为星光如来，具足明行足，善逝，世间解，无上调御丈夫，天人师，佛，世尊出现于世。 具光，那星光如来般涅槃后，有菩萨名为大精进，容貌端严，美丽，悦意，生于婆罗门种姓，如大娑罗树之子。 具光，那时，那时，于彼世尊之教法中，凡是出家之比丘，多数为各种事务缠缚，真正进入的很少。 具光，那些比丘也以如来身像之形相

More than that, if a Bodhisattva contemplates the body of the Tathagata, even just the sound of a clapper, they will obtain forbearance of all profound Dharmas, and that will accumulate even more merit. More than that, if someone abides in the aggregate of morality, upholds a four-line verse, and also understands the meaning of that four-line verse, and also explains it to just one sentient being, that will accumulate even more merit. Kāśyapa, how should one contemplate the body of the Tathagata in this? Kāśyapa, in this, a Bodhisattva should follow the Bodhisattva Great Exertion. Kāśyapa, in the past there were countless eons, extremely numerous, extremely very numerous, vast, immeasurable, inconceivable, incalculable past times. At that time, at that time, there was a Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened One, named Star Light Tathagata, endowed with knowledge and conduct, Well-Gone, Knower of the World, Unsurpassed Tamer of Beings, Teacher of Gods and Humans, Buddha, World Honored One, who appeared in the world. Kāśyapa, after that Star Light Tathagata passed into complete Nirvana, there was a Bodhisattva named Great Exertion, with a beautiful form, handsome, pleasing to see, born into a Brahmin lineage, like a son of a great Sala tree.
