The arising of the mind is like this: there is no attachment to any dharma. Why is that? Because whatever there is attachment to, there is some kind of birth; whatever there is no attachment to, there is no birth at all. World Honored One, it is like that, so birth itself is no birth. Why is it said that there is no birth? Because there is no basis for birth to enter into it, therefore it is said that there is no birth. For that which has no birth, one should not even speak of it. Why is that? As much as there is speaking, that much there is birth and cessation. Like that, what is extremely pure wisdom, there is no birth, and there is no cessation. What has no birth and no cessation, that is immeasurable, because it is forever immeasurable. World Honored One, it is like that, so we two, with the boundary of equality, aspire to attain unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment, and do not fixate on any dharma, do not attain any dharma, and do not request to attain any dharma, but only strive to realize what is equality, and do not realize any dharma. Why is that? Because all dharmas are pure from the very beginning. Shariputra, when those two boys spoke like that, the bodhisattva assembly attained forbearance of the dharma of non-birth. King Mukuta also, together with those thousand sons and five thousand kings, generated the mind of unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment. Shariputra, then the Tathagata Various Flowers (name) completed the activity of eating, put down the bowl, folded his hands, and correctly taught the Dharma to King Mukuta and those many people, caused them to correctly accept it, correctly praised it, correctly rejoiced, and then arose from the seat and departed. Shariputra, then the two boys Dharma and Good Dharma requested their parents, and with faith went forth from home to homelessness, completely renouncing.

They appeared for the sake of renunciation. When the two of them appeared from their great city, they spoke these verses: Renunciation is praised by the Buddhas, renunciation is praised by the Tathagatas, the household is the abode of afflictions, it destroys the white Dharma. Whoever wants the white Dharmas not to decline and to increase, for the sake of renunciation, may the protector of the world quickly go. Even if one diligently enjoys for hundreds of thousands of eons, there is no satisfaction in desires. Those who live at home, never satisfied with desires, will die. Just as the ocean, the rivers flow unceasingly, never satisfied. Similarly, children for all desires, serving more will not be satisfied. For example, fire, even if fed with grass and wood, will never be satisfied. Similarly, children for all desires, it is impossible to satisfy with desires. The guides of the world say that these desires are the cause of attachment. Therefore, completely abandon attachment, appear for the sake of renunciation! The supreme protector of the world, in the past no one, because he lived at home, attained the supreme Bodhi. The Buddhas, the protectors of the world, whoever entered into Nirvana, all in a quiet place, in a very quiet place attained the supreme Bodhi. Therefore, learn the quiet place relied upon by the Buddhas, abandon the greed of the household, then it will become happy and virtuous. If someone lives at home, filling all three thousand worlds with all the jewels, offering to the protector of the world, which wise person generates faith, knowing the faults and abandoning the family, following the Buddha to learn, seeking renunciation, seeking renunciation, without laziness, regardless of all desires and the abode of the family, abandoning seven steps away, then for that accumulation of merit, the previous rain of jewels cannot compare. Therefore, for the renunciation praised by the Buddhas, go quickly! For whom there is no attachment, with wisdom always not satisfied, then one can obtain the supreme Buddha position that completely transcends all attachments. If you quickly live in a quiet place.

Will abandon craving for sensual pleasures, and after truly understanding the faults, the mind will turn away from those things. After quickly abandoning the household, those wise ones who truly see reality will abide in solitude and follow the teachings of the Buddhas. Those who strive for enlightenment will rely on solitude, they will love solitude, and they will not love the household. That is the realm, dwelling, and conduct of the pure Buddhas. Whoever enters this path, it is not difficult for them to attain enlightenment. Whoever desires to liberate beings tormented by attachment and other afflictions, he is afraid of staying at home and proclaims solitude everywhere. Whoever wishes to conquer the demons, realize the state of immortality, and turn the Supreme Wheel of Dharma, he should rely on solitude. Maudgalyayana, in this way, the two youths Dharma and Subhadra spoke those verses, and after coming out of that great city, they went to where the Blessed One Various Flowers was, bowed their heads at the feet of the Blessed One, and said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, can we two obtain ordination and full ordination as monks from the Blessed One? Maudgalyayana, then the Tathagata Various Flowers, knowing the superior intention of those two youths, ordained them and gave them full ordination. Maudgalyayana, then King Mukuta, having heard that the two youths had been ordained, placed his eldest son on the throne, and together with his sons, who were less than a thousand, and with eighty-four thousand women, and with about five thousand kings, and with many other ordinary people, all of them, disregarding their families, went from home to homelessness with faith, appearing for the sake of complete ordination. At that time, a billion beings appeared, and they all went to where the Tathagata Various Flowers was, bowed their heads at the feet of the Blessed One, and said to the Blessed One: Blessed One,
