O Sung, King Mukhyu had sons who were brave, steadfast, possessed the best limbs and forms, and were capable of utterly destroying the enemy's camp, a thousand in number. O Sung, after those thousand sons of King Mukhyu, two boys named Dharma-jnana and Dharma-bhadra were miraculously born on his lap. O Sung, King Mukhyu, for the sake of the Blessed One, the Tathagata Flower Assembly, together with the Sangha of monks, for the complete period of eighty-four thousand years, without doing any other work, abandoning all domestic thoughts, served them with clothing, food, bedding, seats, medicines for the sick, and utensils. Furthermore, every seven days, he offered the Sangha of monks other desirable Dharma robes. To those who desired anything, he offered such desirable forms of food. To those who desired temples of any kind, he had such desirable temples built. He also offered each monk dwellings, pleasure gardens, seven attendants, and food with a hundred flavors. O Sung, in this way, King Mukhyu had constructed mansions, quadrangular buildings eighty yojanas in circumference, with closely connected windows, adorned and pleasing to behold, well-made, perfectly finished, and thoroughly cleansed by the streets of the wheel. When the Tathagata, together with the Sangha of monks, resided in those mansions, by the power of the streets of the wheel, showers of flowers of various colors would fall from above those mansions. Those flowers filled those mansions up to the knees. O Sung, in this way, King Mukhyu, for the complete period of eighty-four thousand years, with inconceivable qualities of adornment and all comfortable provisions, honored, respected, revered, and made offerings to the Tathagata Flower Assembly, together with the Sangha of monks. O Sung, then

After those eighty-four thousand had passed, on that day, after the Thus-Gone One had finished the meal, the two boys Dharma and Good Dharma, together with all four divisions of the army, approached the Blessed One, the Thus-Gone One, the Foe Destroyer, the Perfectly Awakened Buddha Many Flowers, and presented their heartfelt request to the Thus-Gone One, saying: "Blessed One, does this wheel-turning king have any other generosity, merit, enjoyment, or other roots of virtue that could overwhelm and completely dominate all the many kinds of roots of virtue he has created for so long?" Shariputra, as soon as the two boys touched his feet, at that instant, the three-thousand great-thousand world realm shook violently, and a great world-shaking event occurred. Shariputra, then the attendant of the Blessed One, the Thus-Gone One Many Flowers, named Difficult to Conquer, rose from his seat, draped his Dharma robe over one shoulder, knelt on his right knee, and, with his palms joined, bowed in the direction of the Blessed One, the Thus-Gone One Many Flowers, and said to the Thus-Gone One: "Blessed One, what is the cause of this great earthquake in the world? What is the condition? And why have these two boys touched the feet of the Blessed One?" Shariputra, after he had spoken thus, the Thus-Gone One Many Flowers said to the attendant Difficult to Conquer: "Son of good family, what is the use of you asking such a question? If the Thus-Gone One were to explain with what kind of superior intention, with what kind of cultivation of profound patience, and with what kind of great compassion these two boys touched the feet of the Thus-Gone One, then this world, including the gods, would become confused." Third fascicle. Shariputra, then the Thus-Gone One Many Flowers spoke to the great Shravaka disciple, the foremost son of Non-Attachment, who possessed great miraculous powers.

Thus he spoke. Son of Trishna (Craving), come, lift these two children and show your own power of magical abilities. Light Protector, then, the monk, son of Trishna, took one child from among them with his right hand, and the other child with his left hand, thinking to throw them upwards, but he could not lift them. He further extensively demonstrated power, strength, diligence, joy, and great magical abilities, and thinking to throw them upwards, he could not even move or shake a portion of the tip of the hair of those two children. Light Protector, in that way, when he exerted himself to throw those two children extremely upwards, the three-thousand great-thousand world realm, including rocks, mountains, trees, grass, and water, was greatly shaken and moved up and down, but he could not lift those two children. Light Protector, then, the Tathagata Multitude of Flowers at that time completely grasped the mind of that great Hearer, and approached the power of magical abilities. Having approached the power of magical abilities, the monk, son of Trishna, caused the Buddha-fields in the lower direction, as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River, to shake, tremble, be completely disturbed, and move up and down, but he could not even move or shake a portion of the tip of the hair of those two children. Light Protector, then, the monk, son of Trishna, touched the two feet of the Blessed One, the Tathagata Multitude of Flowers, with his head, and spoke thus to the Tathagata Multitude of Flowers: Blessed One, have I completely fallen away or become different from my own power of magical abilities? Why is that? Blessed One, like this, I am unable to lift even these two children who have not been born for long, who are in the form of infants, and whose bodies are small, even when they are close to the ground. After he spoke thus, the Blessed One, the Tathagata Multitude of Flowers, spoke thus to the monk, son of Trishna: Son of Trishna, you have not completely fallen away from your own power of magical abilities, but the Bodhisattva
