Where the perfectly enlightened Buddha, like Mount Sumeru, instructed those Bodhisattvas with various kinds of miracles. Then, King Excellent Array asked the Blessed One, the Thus-Gone One, the Foe-Destroyer, the Perfectly Enlightened Buddha, like Mount Sumeru, as follows: Blessed One, are there other supreme miracles besides those miracles? After asking thus, the Blessed One, the Thus-Gone One, the Foe-Destroyer, the Perfectly Enlightened Buddha, like Mount Sumeru, spoke to King Excellent Array as follows: Great King, there are other supreme miracles besides those miracles. And for the dharmas without attachment, to manifest joy; for the dharmas without abiding, to cultivate equanimity; for the dharmas without knowledge and without seeing, to manifest the divine eye; for the dharmas without hearing and without discrimination, to manifest the divine ear; for the dharmas devoid of objects, mind, and discrimination, to possess the knowledge of others' minds; for the dharmas devoid of prior limits, to possess the knowledge of remembering past abodes; for the dharmas devoid of mind, body, sound, and effort, to attain the miraculous feet; for the dharmas without abiding, to cultivate mindfulness; for the dharmas without arising and without ceasing, to cultivate right abandonment; for the dharmas without faculties, to reveal the faculties; for the dharmas without strength and without weakness, to fully proclaim strength; for the dharmas near to peace, to explain the limbs of enlightenment; for the dharmas without distinction, to mention the path; for the dharmas gone to the end of peace, to generate calm abiding; for the dharmas characterized by liberation, to be skilled in higher seeing; for the dharmas naturally completely passed into nirvana, to speak of nirvana. Thus, the Bhagavan Tathagata Arhat Samyaksambuddha, like Mount Meru, beginning with this category of dharma demonstrating miracles, in this way, in this way, taught the Dharma to that King Good Arrangement, those thousand sons, and those assemblies of consorts, and eighty-four thousand sentient beings generated the mind of unsurpassed perfect and complete enlightenment. King Good Arrangement and his thousand sons obtained the forbearance that accords with the dharmas. Having obtained forbearance, through the power of the Buddha and their own courage, they praised the Bhagavan Tathagata Arhat Samyaksambuddha, like Mount Meru, with these verses: Just as in the midst of the ocean, The king of mountains, Sumeru, is beautiful, So too in the midst of the Sangha, The King of Dharma is exceedingly beautiful. Just as when the sun rises,

Just as it dispels all darkness, So too, the Buddha's urna hair, Illuminates all Buddha-fields. Like the full moon on the fifteenth day, The moon is complete and without flaw, So too, the Buddha is complete in all dharmas, The protector of the world is also without flaw. Just as the lotus flower, Is not stained by the water within, So too, the protector of the world, Is not stained by the dharmas of the world. Just as the lion is the king of beasts, Roaring its roar in the forest, So too, the lion among men, Roars the roar of emptiness. Whether it exists or does not exist, Everything that exists and does not exist, And those who are completely free from all extremes, Is called the lion's roar. Whether it arises or perishes, Showing those as characteristics, Without arising or ceasing, Is called the lion's roar. This shore and the other shore, Showing those as conceptualizations, Not abiding in all dharmas, Is called the lion's roar. Purifying all afflictions, Those two have no self-nature, The dharma that is utterly without stain, Is called the lion's roar. Desire, hatred, and ignorance, Arise from conceptualization, Free from conceptualization and without conceptualization, Is called the lion's roar. Samsara and nirvana, Placing those on the path, The dharmas that are extremely accumulated, Is called the lion's roar. Birth, old age, sickness, death, and samsara, Arise from perversion, The meaning of impermanence, suffering, and selflessness, Is called the lion's roar. View and object are abodes, Those are the realm of the world, Well-explaining the emptiness of all dharmas, Is called the lion's roar. The miracles of the protector of the world, Whatever and however many are shown, The explanation of all of those, Is called the lion's roar. For the sake of the equality of mind, Conforming and not conforming, The mind does not abide in anything, That is the forbearance of conformity. What the Buddhas have proclaimed, Conforming to cessation and peace, Not arguing about that, That is the forbearance of conformity. Except for all that is unwholesome, Entering into wholesome dharmas, And not abiding in those either, That is the forbearance of conformity.
