(Answered:) Son of the gods, at any time, one abides in morality and teaches the Dharma in order to dispel the remorse and arising of all sentient beings, such a one is a speaker of discipline. (Asked:) Manjushri, how is one who speaks of meaning? (Answered:) Son of the gods, at any time, one diligently makes the essence of all that is heard, and subsequently understands the meaning, such a one is a speaker of meaning. (Asked:) Manjushri, how is a Bodhisattva a perfect basis for benefiting all sentient beings? (Answered:) Son of the gods, at any time, one bestows all the roots of virtue that have been properly accomplished upon sentient beings, such a one is a perfect basis for benefiting all sentient beings. (Asked:) Manjushri, how is a Bodhisattva noble? (Answered:) Son of the gods, at any time, one does not become angry with sentient beings who are afflicted with desire, hatred, and delusion, therefore one is noble. Said: Son of the gods, whoever contemplates properly and does not fixate on any dharma possesses diligence. Said: Manjushri, how is one a meditator? Said: Son of the gods, whoever no longer appears in the desire realm is a meditator. Said: Manjushri, how does one possess wisdom? Said: Son of the gods, whoever does not give away the activity of wisdom possesses wisdom. Said: Manjushri, how does one abide in loving-kindness? Said: Son of the gods, whoever contemplates the realm of sentient beings as emptiness abides in loving-kindness. Said: Manjushri, how does one abide in compassion? Said: Son of the gods, whoever knows all dharmas to be like the sky and does not abandon diligence in enlightenment abides in compassion. Said: Manjushri, how does one abide in joy? Said: Son of the gods, whoever is able to endure and is peaceful, attains supreme peace, and is never satisfied with joy in fully seeking the Dharma abides in joy. Said: Manjushri, how does one abide in equanimity? Said: Son of the gods, although one acts in the world to completely protect sentient beings, one is not robbed by the dharmas of the world abides in equanimity. Said: Manjushri, how is the body of a Bodhisattva completely pure? Said: Son of the gods, whoever shows the body born of mind to be in harmony with the bodies of all sentient beings has a completely pure body. Said: Manjushri, how is speech completely pure? Said: Son of the gods, whoever teaches the Dharma with fruition by completely perfecting the sounds of all sentient beings has completely pure speech. Said: Manjushri, how is the mind completely pure? Said: Son of the gods, whoever thoroughly knows the minds of all sentient beings with one mind has a completely pure mind. Said: Manjushri, how does a Bodhisattva possess the divine eye? Said: Son of the gods, whoever sees all visible forms and also shows the emptiness of forms possesses the divine eye.
