For those who perceive things as existent, emptiness is taught; for those who perceive things as having characteristics, the absence of characteristics is taught; for those who perceive things as the three realms, the absence of aspiration is taught; and for those who grasp at self and what belongs to self, it is taught to be free from all aspects of views. This is the great fear of the world. Those who do not fear this are truly tamed, and therefore, those who are truly tamed do not fear anything. Why is that? Because they do not fear any dharma from which fear might arise. For example, grasping at self is complete grasping, and grasping at what belongs to self is complete grasping, but they are not completely grasped by these. Therefore, for complete grasping, there is no basis; without a basis, there is no wavering; without wavering, there is no movement; without movement, there is no taking; without taking, there is no abandoning; without abandoning, there is no grasping; without grasping, there is no supreme grasping; without supreme grasping, there is no perversion; without perversion, there is no wrongness; being free from wrongness is true accomplishment; true accomplishment is true seeing; true seeing is the basis of true samadhi; abiding in true samadhi, there is no distraction; when the mind is not distracted, there is no dwelling; when the mind does not dwell, there is no place; when the mind has no place, there is no place for consciousness; when there is no consciousness, there is no examination and removal; being free from examination and removal, one abandons the object of focus; abiding without an object of focus, there is no obscuration; abiding without obscuration, there is no pride; when there is no pride, there is no excessive pride; when there is no excessive pride, there is no seeing of self and other; without (seeing self and other), there is no complete suffering; without complete suffering, there is no laziness; without laziness, there is no cause of affliction; for a mind that is not afflicted, clarity appears; when clarity dawns, wisdom is seen; when wisdom is seen, abiding in it, the knowledge of the mind is vast; when the vast knowledge of the mind abides, the demons cannot find an opportunity.

and that the demons and opponents are certainly destroyed, and that there is no obscuration, and that it is manifest. Because all the Buddhas' teachings are manifested in dwelling in the absence of obscuration. O son of the gods, it is also a great miracle to show in this way the connection of the order of the Dharma to the Dharmas that are unmade and unborn. Then the venerable son of Śāradvatī said to Mañjuśrīkumārabhūta: "O Mañjuśrīkumārabhūta, all the Buddhas' teachings appear from the words of what and what is like." Mañjuśrī said: "O son of Śāradvatī, all dharmas are without a master; they do as they please. O son of Śāradvatī, all dharmas are inexhaustible; they show as they please. O son of Śāradvatī, all dharmas are substantial; they speak as they please. O son of Śāradvatī, all dharmas are not permanent; they establish as they please. O son of Śāradvatī, all dharmas are invisible; they arrange as they please. O son of Śāradvatī, all dharmas are neutral; they explain as they please. O son of Śāradvatī, those dharmas are not taken from anywhere, nor are they led anywhere; they are neither accumulated nor piled up. They may be spoken or unspoken, but they do not abandon the suchness of the Dharma. Whatever is the origin of the letters of all sentient beings, and whatever is the origin of the letters of the Dharma taught by all the Buddhas, all those letters do not arise from the body or from the mind, but arise from causes and conditions. Just as there is no accumulation in letters, so there is no accumulation in mind and dharmas arising from mind. Just as there is no accumulation in mind and dharmas arising from mind, so there is no accumulation in all the objects of affliction. As afflictions
