There is no dwelling. Therefore, those invisible essences appear. If viewed in detail, there is no dwelling. Just as the good see the Victorious One, just as the manifested emanations are seen in all directions. Those who have great power of aggregates, the five aggregates should also be viewed in the same way. All phenomena are without self-nature, and beings and Buddhas have no characteristics. To attribute characteristics to what has no characteristics, that will be very far from the Buddha. Dharma is not real, but is obscured by universal conceptualization. Even where there are no things, it can be understood by relying on it. There is no doer, and it transcends the doer. By grasping at names, emptiness is thoroughly shown. Whoever understands that cause, agent, and condition are not real, he also understands the dharma that is free from attachment. If one understands the dharma that is free from attachment, he will see the Buddha with pure eyes. Again, at that time, when those verses were spoken and taught, the magician Good One generated a small tolerance that was in accordance with the definite understanding of the Dharma. Five thousand beings generated the previously ungenerated unsurpassed perfect and complete awakening mind. Two hundred Bodhisattvas attained tolerance for the unarisen Dharma. Then, the Blessed One ate that emanated food, and in order to completely purify the merits of the magician Good One, at that time he spoke these verses: Who gives and to whom is given, how to not conceptualize giving, may that equal giving be perfected in the Good One. Then, the Venerable Ananda said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, please bless this assembly hall, adorned with decorations, so that it may remain for seven days and not disappear. After so requesting, the Blessed One blessed that assembly hall, adorned with decorations, so that it would remain for seven days as it was decorated, and would not disappear. Then, the Blessed One, together with the community of monks, arose from the seat and departed. Then, again, the Blessed One arose from the inner samadhi and sat down to teach the Dharma. Those monks, those Bodhisattvas, and the gods, nagas, yakshas, and gandharvas

They also went to the Blessed One to listen to the Dharma. Then, the magician Good Friend also went to where the Blessed One was, and after arriving, bowed to the feet of the Blessed One with his head, circumambulated the Blessed One three times with reverence, and with respect and honor, folded his palms and sat down on one side. After sitting on one side, the magician Good Friend asked the Blessed One: Blessed One, which path do Bodhisattvas embark on to reach the essence of Bodhi? Please explain the path of the Bodhisattvas. After asking this, the Blessed One said to the magician Good Friend: Good Friend, therefore, listen well and carefully, and keep it in mind, and I will explain. The magician Good Friend said to the Blessed One: Good, Blessed One. Then he listened to the Blessed One. The Blessed One said to him: Good Friend, these four are the path of the Bodhisattvas who, by embarking on them, will reach the essence of Bodhi. What are the four? They are not abandoning the mind of all-knowingness, not abandoning all sentient beings, not knowing satisfaction in seeking all roots of virtue, and striving to completely protect the sacred Dharma. Good Friend, these four are the path of the Bodhisattvas who, by embarking on them, will reach the essence of Bodhi. Good Friend, these four are the completely pure conduct of the Bodhisattvas. What are the four? They are the complete purity of the three vows, the complete purity of the place, the complete purity of knowledge, and the complete purity of birth. These are the four. Good Friend, these four are the Dharma of the Bodhisattvas that the Shravakas and all Pratyekabuddhas cannot fathom. What are the four? They are the reversal of meditation, the discrimination with the mind, compassion for sentient beings, and fearlessness and various sounds. These are the four. Good Friend, these four are the noble conduct of the Bodhisattvas. What are the four? They are dwelling in solitary places.
