It becomes the essence of various characteristics. If it reaches the surface of lapis lazuli, then everything will become the same color as lapis lazuli. If it reaches the surface of gold color, then everything will become the color of gold. It is the same with becoming the color of silver and crystal. Similarly, Bodhisattvas, having attained the unmixed Dharma, whatever the desire, hatred, ignorance, virtue, and non-virtue of sentient beings, all those who reach the Bodhisattva and accompany him, everything will enter the wisdom of the Bodhisattva. However, because his mind is impure and because of the power of his own sinful karma, sentient beings fall into hell, the animal realm, and the world of Yama. Therefore, by the power of the Bodhisattva's unmixed qualities and aspirations, after the exhaustion of unpleasant ripening results, he will undoubtedly attain unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment and be established in it. Before obtaining the blessing, in the past immeasurable, countless, and innumerable eons, at the time of the five degenerations, the Tathagata, Arhat, Samyak-sambuddha, complete in knowledge and conduct, Sugata, Knower of the World, unsurpassed guide of beings, teacher of gods and humans, Buddha, Bhagavan, named Jewel Heap of Qualities Sound appeared. At that time, the lifespan of beings was one hundred and twenty years, just like I am now. At that time, the desire, hatred, and ignorance of sentient beings were very strong, and they were tightly oppressed by afflictions, contradicting the minds of parents, siblings, and friends, not following the Khenpo and Acharya, not being grateful for kindness, always harboring malice, having deceitful and thieving minds, harming each other, acting improperly, having no respect for the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, being overwhelmed by stinginess, all of them were sentient beings practicing the Dharma of pretas, such a Buddha-field.

Therefore, it became extremely difficult to subdue. At that time, that Bhagavan, due to the power of past aspirations, attained the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment in that evil age, becoming a perfectly enlightened Buddha. That Bhagavan possessed a great assembly of twenty-two thousand Shravakas. At that time, there was a king named Greatly Generous, who possessed the power to rule Jambudvipa and had a very devout faith in the Buddha's teachings. He invited that Tathagata and his Shravaka Sangha to reside for three summer months, and he made extensive offerings, worship, and service. At that time, there was a Bhikshu named Immaculate, who possessed excellent courage, was skilled in the art of teaching the Dharma, making many followers eager to listen, was always tireless in maturing sentient beings, taught the Dharma without expectation, spoke clearly and distinctly, had a perfect form and strength, was as beautiful as a star, and sentient beings were pleased to see him, serving him with attendance, respect, considering him as a guru, and praising him. The newly ordained Bhikshus also always followed Immaculate, and they had no hindrance in entering and leaving the royal palace, so they were also served with offerings of clothing, food, drink, bedding, and various medicines for illnesses. At that time, among that large assembly, most of the Bhikshus did not understand the discipline of the body and the wisdom of the mind, had no respect for the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, always held views of permanence, annihilation, self, and so on, slandered the Buddha's teachings, were distracted and difficult to subdue, did not restrain their senses, dwelt in what was not in accordance with the Dharma, claimed to be ascetics without the conduct of ascetics, and all actions of body, speech, and mind were entirely engaged in evil.

Surrounded by, eighty kotis of lotuses possessing the color of gold. At that time, the monk named Immaculate was prophesied by the Blessed One to be the foremost in learning, so after that Thus-Gone One had completely passed into nirvana, he extensively propagated the sacred Dharma. Wherever he went, to whatever village, city, or town, he completely tamed countless sentient beings and placed them in the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment. At that time, many wicked monks who did not understand yoga, were always filled with jealousy, and were deluded by demons, went to where the king was and said: The monk Immaculate, who is revered by the king, has unimpeded access to the king's palace, but this monk is not free from desire, and he also begs for food at the wrong time, and he also adorns his body with incense and garlands, so he is not a true celibate, and is not worthy of offerings. We have come here for this matter to report to the king, hoping that you will not regret it later, and that you will not lose faith in the Buddha's true Dharma. At that time, a demon named Wicked Demon also transformed himself into the form of a monk and went to where the king was and said as before. At that time, the king, who was generous in giving, heard those words again and again, and thought: The monk Immaculate is very diligent and intelligent, and I revere him as my teacher, but it is impossible for him to do such a thing. Then, at that time, the demon's retinue showed half of their bodies from the sky and spoke to the king in verses: O king, learn the arts of craftsmanship, be skilled in timing. If the king does not understand these, he is not a person with royal demeanor. For the Buddha's shravaka arhats, who possess great wisdom, why not believe their words, but cut them off? The monks are speaking the truth to you for your benefit. Those who speak of annihilation will go to bad destinies, because they are not true celibates. That is the king's palace
