འོན་ཀྱང་དེར་སོང་སྟེ་རང་གི་དཔུང་གི་ཚོགས་ལ་རྗེས་སུ་བསྟན་པར་བྱའོ་སྙམ་པ་དང་། སེམས་བསྐྱེད་མ་ཐག་ཏུ་རྒྱལ་པོ་ང་ལས་ནུ་དེ་དཔུང་གི་ཚོགས་ཡན་ལག་བཞི་པ་དང་ལྷན་ཅིག་ཏུ་ནམ་མཁའ་ལ་མངོན་པར་འཕགས་ནས་ཤར་གྱི་ལུས་འཕགས་པོའི་གླིང་ཆེན་པོ་ནས་བྱུང་གི་སྒྲ་མི་སྙན་གླིང་ཆེན་པོར་ཕྱིན་པར་གྱུར་ཏེ། དེས་དེར་ཡང་མི་རྣམས་ང་ཡིར་བྱ་བ་མེད་ཅིང་ཡོངས་སུ་འཛིན་པ་མེད་པའི་ནང་དུ་ལོ་བརྒྱ་སྟོང་ཕྲག་དུ་མར་བདག་གི་དཔུང་གི་ཚོགས་རྣམས་ལ་རྗེས་སུ་བསྟན་ཏོ། །རྒྱལ་པོ་ཆེན་པོ་དེ་ནས་ལོ་སྟོང་མང་པོ་འདས་པ་ཞིག་ན་རྒྱལ་པོ་ང་ལས་ནུ་དེ་འདི་སྙམ་དུ་སེམས་ཏེ། བདག་གིས་འཛམ་བུའི་གླིང་ལ་ནི་དབང་ཆེན་པོ་ལ་ཡང་དབང་བྱས་ན། ད་ནི་སུམ་བཅུ་རྩ་གསུམ་པ་ཞེས་བྱ་བའི་ལྷ་རི་རབ་ཀྱི་རྩེ་མོ་ལ་འཁོད་པ་ཅེས་གྲག་གིས་སུམ་བཅུ་རྩ་གྱི་གནས་སུ་འགྲོའོ་སྙམ་དུ་བསམས་སོ། །རྒྱལ་པོ་ཆེན་པོ་དེ་ནས་རྒྱལ་པོ་ང་ལས་ནུས་སེམས་བསྐྱེད་མ་ཐག་ཏུ་དཔུང་གི་ཚོགས་ཡན་ལག་བཞི་པ་དང་ལྷན་ཅིག་ཏུ་ནམ་མཁའ་ལ་མངོན་པར་འཕགས་ནས་རི་རབ་ཀྱི་རྩེ་མོ་ལ་ཕྱིན་པར་གྱུར་ཏོ། །དེའི་ཚེ་སུམ་བཅུ་རྩ་གསུམ་པའི་ལྷ་རྣམས་ཆོས་བཟང་ལྷའི་མདུན་ས་ཞེས་བྱ་བ་ན་འདུས་ཤིང་འཁོར་འཁོད་པ་ལས་ལྷའི་དབང་པོ་བརྒྱ་བྱིན་གྱིས་ང་ལས་ནུ་རྒྱང་རིང་པོ་ནས་འོང་བ་མཐོང་སྟེ། མཐོང་ནས་སྟན་གྱི་ཕྱེད་ལ་བདར་ཏེ་རྒྱལ་པོ་ཆེན་པོ་ཆུར་སྤྱོན། རྒྱལ་པོ་ཆེན་པོ་བྱོན་པ་ལེགས་སོ། །གང་གི་དུས་ལ་དབབ་པར་ཤེས་ན་སྟན་གྱི་ཕྱེད་ལ་བཞུགས་ཤིག་ཅེས་སྨྲས་པ་དང་། རྒྱལ་པོ་ང་ལས་ནུ་ལྷའི་དབང་པོ་བརྒྱ་བྱིན་གྱི་སྟན་གྱི་ཕྱེད་ལ་འདུག་གོ །རྒྱལ་པོ་ང་ལས་ནུ་བརྒྱ་བྱིན་གྱི་སྟེན་ཕྱེད་ལ་འདུག་མ་ཐག་ཏུ་སུམ་བཅུ་རྩ་གསུམ་ པའི་ལྷ་ཐམས་ཅད་ལྷའི་གནས་བཅུས་ཟིལ་གྱི་གནན་ཏོ། །བཅུ་གང་ཞེ་ན། ལྷའི་ཚེ་དང་། ལྷའི་གྲགས་པ་དང་། ལྷའི་ཁ་དོག་དང་། ལྷའི་བདེ་བ་དང་། ལྷའི་དབང་ཕྱུག་ལ་དབང་བ་དང་། ལྷའི་གཟུགས་དང་། ལྷའི་སྐྲ་དང་། ལྷའི་རོ་དང་། ལྷའི་རེག་དང་། རྣམ་པ་བཅུ་སྟེ། དེ་དག་གིས་ལྷའི་དབང་པོ་བརྒྱ་བྱིན་མ་གཏོགས་པ་ཐམས་ཅད་ཟིལ་གྱིས་མནན་ཏོ། །དེ་ཅིའི་ཕྱིར་ཞེ་ན། མིག་འཛུམས་པ་དང་། མིག་མི་འཛུམས་པ་ཙམ་ལས་ལྷ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་འདི་ནི་རྒྱལ་པོ་ང་ལས་ནུའོ། །འདི་ནི་ལྷའི་དབང་པོ་བརྒྱ་བྱིན་ནོ་ཞེས་བྱ་བར་ཤེས་པ་མ་གཏོགས་པར་རྒྱལ་པོ་ང་ལས་ནུ་དེ་དང་། ལྷའི་དབང་པོ་བརྒྱ་བྱིན་གཉིས་ཀྱང་གཟུགས་མཉམ་པར་གྱུར་སྤྱོད་པ་མཉམ་པར་གྱུར། ལོངས་སྤྱོད་མཉམ་པར་གྱུར་ཏེ། རྒྱལ་པོ་ཆེན་པོ་མིར་གྱུར་པ་དང་། ལྷར་གྱུར་པ་གཉིས་ལུས་མཉམ་པར་གྲུབ་པ་དེ་ནི་ངོ་མཚར་ཆེའོ། །རྒྱལ་པོ་ཆེན་པོ་རྒྱལ་པོ་ང་ལས་ནུས་དེར་ལོ་བརྒྱ་སྟོང་ཕྲག་མང་པོར་སུམ་བཅུ་རྩ་གསུམ་པའི་ལྷའི་ནང་དུ་རྒྱལ་སྲིད་ཕྱེད་ལ་དབང་བྱས་ཀྱང་དབང་ཕྱུག་གིས་མ་ངོམས་ནས་འདི་སྙམ་དུ་སེམས་བསྐྱེད་དེ། ཀྱེ་མ་བདག་གིས་སུམ་བཅུ་རྩ་གསུམ་པའི་ལྷའི་རྒྱལ་སྲིད་ཀྱི་དབང་ཕྱུག་ཐམས་ཅད་ལ་དབང་བྱའོ་སྙམ་པ་དང་། སེམས་བསྐྱེད་མ་ཐག་ཏུ་དཔུང་གི་ཚོགས་ཡན་ལག་བཞི་པ་དང་ལྷན་ཅིག་ཏུ་སུམ་བཅུ་རྩ་གསུམ་གྱི་གནས་ནས་ཉམས་ཏེ། འཛམ་བུའི་གླིང་དུ་རྒྱལ་པོའི་སྐྱེད་མོས་ཚལ་མཆོག་ཏུ་ཕྱིན་པར་གྱུར་ཏོ། །དེ་འཛམ་བུའི་གླིང་དུ་གནས་པར་གྱུར་བའི་ཚེ་ཕྱོགས་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱང་སྣང་བར་གྱུར་ཏེ། ཉི་མའི་འོད་ཀྱང་ཟིལ་གྱིས་མནན་ནས་འདི་ལྟ་སྟེ་དཔེར་ཟླ་བའི་འོད་ཉི་མས་ཟིལ་གྱིས་མནན་པ་ལྟ་བུའོ། །ཉི་མ་ནམ་མཁའ་ལ་འདུག་པ་ཡང་ལྷམ་མེ་མ་ཡིན་ཏེ། འདི་ལྟ་སྟེ་དཔེར་ན་ཟླ་བའི་དཀྱིལ་འཁོར་སྟེང་གི་བར་སྣང་ལ་འདུག་པ་ཉི་མས་ཟིལ་གྱིས་ནོན་ན་མི་སྣང་བ་བཞིན་ནོ། །དེ་ནས་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་མི་ཚུགས་པའི་ཕོ་བྲང་དུམ་པ་ན་མི་འཁོད་པ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་རྒྱལ་པོ་དེ་བསྐྱེད་མོས་ཚལ་དེར་ཕྱིན་པ་མཐོང་བར་གྱུར་ཏོ། །མཐོང་ ནས་ཀྱང་ངོ་མཚར་དུ་གྱུར་ཏེ། དེ་དག་གྲོང་དུ་དོང་ནས་ཀྱེ་གྲོགས་པོ་དག་འདི་ལྟར་ལྷའི་བུ་ཞིག་བར་སྣང་ལས་བབས་ཏེ། རྒྱལ་པོའི་སྐྱེད་མོས་ཚལ་འདིར་ཕྱིན་ཏོ་ཞེས་ཚིག་ཏུ་བརྗོད། སྒྲ་བསྒྲགས་སོ། །རྒྱལ་པོ་ཆེན་པོ་དེ་ནས་ཡུལ་འཁོར་གྱི་མི་དང་རྒྱལ་པོར་བཅས་པས་དེ་སྐད་ཐོས་ནས་མྱུར་བ་མྱུར་བར་རིངས་པའི་གཟུགས་སུ་གླུ་དང་། རོལ་མོ་དང་། མེ་ཏོག་དང་། སྤོས་དང་། ཕྲེང་བ་དང་། བདུག་སྤོས་དང་། བྱུག་པ་དང་། གདུགས་དང་། རྒྱལ་མཚན་དང་། བ་དན་དང་། བླ་རེ་དག་ཐོགས་ནས་གཙང་སྦྲའི་སྤྱོད་པས་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་དེ་ནས་བྱུང་སྟེ་བསྐྱེད་མོས་ཚལ་དེ་ག་ལ་བ་དེར་དོང་ངོ་། །རྒྱལ་པོ་ཆེན་པོ་ང་ལས་ནུ་དེ་བསྐྱེད་མོས་ཚལ་དེར་འདུག་མ་ཐག་ཏུ་ས་ཆེན་པོ་འདི་ཡང་རྣམ་པ་དྲུག་ཏུ་གཡོས་པར་གྱུར་ཏོ། །རྒྱལ་པོ་ཆེན་པོ་དེ་ན་ཡུལ་འཁོར་གྱི་མི་དང་རྒྱལ་པོར་བཅས་པ་མིའི་དྲི་ཁྱད་པར་དུ་འཕགས་པས་རྒྱལ་པོ་ང་ལས་ནུའི་དྲུང་དུ་དོང་བ་དང་། །རྒྱལ་པོ་ང་ལས་ནུ་ལྷའི་ལོངས་སྤྱོད་ལ་གོམས་པས་མིའི་ལོངས་སྤྱོད་མི་བཟོད་པར་གྱུར་ནས་ས་ལ་བྱིང་ཞིང་མི་གནས་པར་གྱུར་ཏེ། འདི་ལྟ་སྟེ་དཔེར་ན་མར་གྱི་གོང་བུའམ། Having gone from Jambudvipa to the western continent of Godaniya, he reigned there for many hundreds of thousands of years as a king possessing enjoyments that surpassed those of humans and had not become divine. When he resided in that great western continent of Godaniya, just as when he first generated the mind of enlightenment and descended to Jambudvipa, a rain of wealth fell for seven days. That great king, King Ngalé Nu, thought to himself: 'I have ruled over Jambudvipa, which is prosperous and flourishing, and filled with many people. In my house, a rain of wealth has fallen for seven days. I have also ruled over the great western continent of Godaniya. If a rain of wealth were to fall in my house for seven days, then there is also the great continent known as Eastern Videha. I shall go to that great continent, Eastern Videha.' As soon as he generated that thought, the great king, King Ngalé Nu, together with his fourfold army, rose visibly into the sky and went to the great continent of Eastern Videha. There, too, he reigned as king for many hundreds of thousands of years, possessing enjoyments that surpassed those of humans and had not become divine. That great king, King Ngalé Nu, then thought to himself: 'I have ruled over Jambudvipa, the western continent of Godaniya, and Eastern Videha, now I shall go to the great northern continent of Uttarakuru. Although the people there do not regard me and do not accept me, nevertheless, I shall go there and demonstrate the power of my army.' As soon as he generated that thought, King Ngalé Nu, together with his fourfold army, rose visibly into the sky and went from the great continent of Eastern Videha to the great northern continent of Uttarakuru. There, too, among people who did not regard him and did not accept him, he spent many hundreds of thousands of years demonstrating the power of his army. After many thousands of years had passed, that great king, King Ngalé Nu, thought to himself: 'I have great power over Jambudvipa.'

If I could also exercise power there, I now wish to go to the heaven called the Thirty-three (Tibetan: སུམ་བཅུ་རྩ་གསུམ་པ་), located at the summit of Mount Sumeru. Great King I-lī, as soon as he generated this thought, he immediately ascended into the sky with his fourfold army and retinue, and arrived at the summit of Mount Sumeru. At that time, the gods of the Thirty-three were gathered and assembled in the celestial court called the Good Dharma Hall. Śakra, the lord of the gods, saw I-lī coming from afar. Upon seeing him, he offered half of his seat and said, 'Great King, welcome! If you know the appropriate time, please sit on this half of the seat.' I-lī then sat on half of Śakra's seat. As soon as I-lī sat on half of Śakra's seat, all the gods of the Thirty-three were overwhelmed by the ten qualities unique to the heavenly realm. These ten qualities are: heavenly lifespan, heavenly fame, heavenly color, heavenly bliss, heavenly dominion, heavenly form, heavenly hair, heavenly taste, heavenly touch, and heavenly appearance. Except for Śakra, the lord of the gods, all the gods were overwhelmed by these qualities. This was because, apart from the distinction of blinking or not blinking, the gods could only distinguish 'This is King I-lī' and 'This is Śakra, the lord of the gods.' Other than that, King I-lī and Śakra, the lord of the gods, had the same appearance, the same behavior, and the same enjoyments. Great King, look! A great king who was reborn as a human and reborn as a god, both with the same form, is truly amazing! Great King I-lī remained there, in the Thirty-three heavens, ruling over half of the kingdom for hundreds of thousands of years, but he was still not satisfied with his power. He thought, 'Alas! I should rule over all the royal power of the gods of the Thirty-three.' As soon as he generated this thought, he immediately fell from the heaven of the Thirty-three with his fourfold army and retinue, and was born into an excellent royal garden in Jambudvīpa (the southern continent).
