The karma arising from hatred, the body has three aspects, speech has four, and mind has three kinds of manifest actions. The karma that has been accumulated, from the very beginning, is exhausted, ceases, separates, and transforms. It does not depend on the east to exist, nor does it depend on the south, west, north, below, above, and all directions to exist. It is not here, not there, not in the bardo; at other times, when the time and moment of death are near, the life force ceases, and life is completely exhausted, and the karmas that are similar to it are also exhausted, and when the last consciousness ceases, it is like the corpse of a dog awakening from sleep, the corpse of a person, and the corpse of a snake, suddenly becoming an object of thought. Great King, by the power of the last consciousness, and the object of karma, and the first consciousness belonging to birth, which is born of two causes, arises. As soon as that first consciousness ceases, without interruption, the manifest mind stream, which experiences the ripening result, arises as an equal part. Therefore, the cessation of the last consciousness is counted as death. The arising of the first consciousness is counted as birth. Great King, in this way, no dharma is transferred from this world to another world, but death and birth are manifest. Great King, that last consciousness does not come from anywhere at the time of birth, nor does it go anywhere at the time of death. Karma, the ripening result, and the first consciousness also do not come from anywhere at the time of birth, nor do they go anywhere at the time of death. Why is that? Because its nature is emptiness. The last consciousness, from the emptiness of the nature of the last consciousness to the emptiness of the nature of samsara, is emptiness. That is the door of emptiness of consciousness. Whatever is empty by nature and does not exist is signless. Whatever is signless is wishless. Great King, thus all dharmas are the door to liberation, inclining towards nirvana, and correctly understood as emptiness.

Determined in the realm of space, reaching the edge of the realm of space. Great King, just as someone dreams that their nose is damaged in a dream, and upon waking remembers the damage to their nose in the dream. Great King, what do you think? Is it the act of a wise person to be attached to the damage to the nose in a dream? He replied: Blessed One, it is not. Why is that? Blessed One, the nose seen in a dream does not exist, let alone the damage to the nose. If someone is attached to this, they will become impoverished and weary. The Blessed One said: Great King, likewise, an unlearned ordinary person, who has a neutral feeling when the nose smells odors, also becomes attached, and becomes extremely foolish through attachment. Because of extreme foolishness, actions arise from ignorance. The body performs three actions, the speech performs four actions, and the mind performs three actions. The actions that are performed also cease, stop, disperse, and change. They do not abide in the east, and so on, not here, not there, not in the intermediate state, until at another time, near the time of death, the life force ceases, life is exhausted, and the actions that share the same fate also cease. When the last consciousness ceases, it is like remembering the damage to the nose upon waking from sleep. Great King, with the power of the last consciousness, and the action, and the two conditions, the first consciousness belonging to the category of birth arises. As soon as the first consciousness ceases, without interruption, the mind-stream of the predisposed mind that will experience the ripening arises. That cessation of the last consciousness is counted as death and transference. When that last consciousness arises, it does not come from anywhere, and when it ceases, it does not go anywhere. Actions, ripening, and the first consciousness are also like that.

At the time of birth, it does not come from anywhere, and at the time of cessation, it does not go anywhere. Why is that? Because it lacks inherent existence. The final consciousness is empty, because the final consciousness is empty of its own nature, and samsara is empty of its own nature. Actions are not wasted, and the experience of ripening is also evident. In that, there is no agent or enjoyer, except for mere designation. Great King, for example, a person dreams while sleeping that he is hungry and eats his fill of food with a hundred flavors. When he wakes up from sleep and remembers it, Great King, what do you think? Does the food with a hundred flavors that was seen in the dream exist? He replied: Blessed One, it does not exist. The Blessed One said: Great King, what do you think? Then, is clinging to the food with a hundred flavors seen in the dream the nature of the wise? He replied: Blessed One, it is not. Why is that? Blessed One, the food with eight flavors in the dream itself does not exist and cannot be observed, so how can it completely purify that thing? Otherwise, the person who clings to that thing will become poor and exhausted. The Blessed One said: Great King, similarly, ignorant ordinary people who have not heard the Dharma also cling to things that make them feel happy when their tongues taste flavors. By clinging to this, attachment arises. After attachment arises, they become completely attached. After becoming completely attached, the actions arising from desire are performed by the body in three ways, by speech in four ways, and by mind in three ways. The actions that are performed are exhausted, stopped, separated, and transformed from the very beginning. It does not exist relying on the east, nor is it here, nor is it there, nor is it in the bardo. At other times, the life force ceases when the time and moment of death are near. Life is also completely exhausted, and the actions related to it are also exhausted. When the final consciousness ceases, it is like this, for example
