And, the sense bases, conditioned, and unconditioned dharmas, etc. How does one fully understand the five aggregates? If one fully understands the five aggregates as being like illusions, peaceful, empty, without characteristics, unborn, and unceasing. How does one fully understand? It is by not truly seeing, that one fully understands. When one does not truly see, does not know, does not pay attention, does not think, does not discriminate, at that time all discriminations are pacified, this is called understanding the aggregates. Whoever understands the aggregates, understands all dharmas. Son of good family, this is called the practice of renunciation. A Bodhisattva Mahasattva who has entered in this way does not abandon all sentient beings. Why is that? Just as he himself has realized these dharmas, he also proclaims them to all sentient beings, but he does not cling to sentient beings or dharmas. Son of good family, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva, if he possesses this one dharma, quickly attains unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, perfects the Buddha field, and can also uphold whatever qualities and adornments of the Buddha field he desires. When the Bhagavan spoke this Dharma gate of perfecting the qualities and adornments of the Buddha field, the Bodhisattva's sins were extinguished, and he attained the patience of non-arising dharmas, and he rejoiced and was exceedingly delighted, and rose into the sky to the height of seven tala trees. In that assembly, two thousand sentient beings generated the mind of unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. Forty million kotis of sentient beings, including gods and humans, in all dharmas, obtained the pure Dharma eye, free from dust and defilement. Then, the Bhagavan smiled at that time. This is the Dharma nature of when the Buddhas and Bhagavans smile. At that time, from the Bhagavan's face, various colors of light appeared, such as blue, yellow, red, white, crimson, lapis lazuli, and silver.

Having illuminated the boundless and limitless realms of the world with light, they returned and circumambulated the Blessed One three times, then, with palms joined, they praised the Blessed One, offering these verses: You have mastery over all dharmas, having reached the other shore. You, the guide, possess the power of a king. You are renowned in the world as the all-knowing one. For what reason do you show this smile? Great Sage, you know all that has passed. Likewise, you know all that is to come. And you know perfectly the present. For what reason do you make this smile? You know the conduct of all beings who possess superior, middling, and inferior minds. You have reached the other shore of attachment, liberation, and the perception of existence. Please prophesy the taming of those who are difficult to tame. Countless billions of gods have gathered here, paying homage with joined palms to the flawless one. May the Great Sage, the incomparable one, utter your voice for the benefit of all beings who practice the Dharma. You have reached the other shore of wisdom. You have no delusion. You know all the distinctions of conduct. For what reason do you show this smile? These billions of gods have gathered here to seek the Dharma. Likewise, many assemblies of monks have come to listen to the sacred Dharma. To make offerings to you, we strike many excellent and abundant instruments. Many beings are filled with doubt. Great Sage, please quickly dispel their doubts today. After they had thus entreated him, the Blessed One spoke to the venerable Ananda, saying: Ananda, do you see that Bodhisattva Mahasattva, the subduer of sins, who is as tall as seven tala trees, sitting in the sky above? Ananda replied: Blessed One, I see him. Sugata, I see him. The Blessed One said: Ananda, this Bodhisattva Mahasattva, the subduer of sins, will awaken to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment after sixty-two hundred thousand kotis of countless kalpas. In a kalpa free from disease, this very three-thousandfold great thousand world system...

Then the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Enlightened One, named "The Perfectly Peaceful and Subdued Sovereign," appears in the world. Ananda, just as the Tathagata Akshobhya's world, named Abhirati, is adorned with the qualities of a Buddha-field, with a perfect assembly of Shravakas and a perfect assembly of Bodhisattvas, so too, the Buddha-field of the Blessed One, the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Enlightened One, "The Perfectly Peaceful and Subdued Sovereign," will be neither more nor less than that. Having spoken thus, the Blessed One departed from that place and gradually went to the house of King Ajatashatru. Having arrived, the Blessed One sat down in the place prepared for him. The assembly of monks also took their respective seats. Then King Ajatashatru, knowing that the Blessed One and the assembly of monks were seated, personally served the Tathagata and the assembly of monks with excellent food and drink, satisfying them. Having satisfied them, and seeing that the Tathagata had finished using his bowl and washed his hands, he offered the Blessed One a pair of priceless dyed cloths. Having offered the cloths, he prostrated to the Blessed One and the assembly of monks, and sat down on one side. Having sat down on one side, King Ajatashatru then asked the Blessed One, "Blessed One, from where do harmful thoughts, stinginess, anger, and concealment arise? From what does ignorance arise? How does ignorance cease?" Having asked this, the Blessed One said to King Ajatashatru, "Great King, from the clinging to self and the clinging to what belongs to self, harmful thoughts, stinginess, anger, and concealment arise. Abiding in the clinging to self and the clinging to what belongs to self, one does not know qualities and faults, therefore it is called ignorance. If one knows the clinging to self and the clinging to what belongs to self as they truly are, then neither knowledge nor ignorance can be established in that. Therefore,
