I shall arouse all the roots of existence, thus for those dharmas, I shall be without friend, alone and without peer, sitting on the Vajra seat, subduing the power of Mara and all obstacles, and with the wisdom of a single instant, I shall manifestly and completely awaken to unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. Therefore, for this, that yoga of thought that is necessarily realized is called the one path traversed by Bodhisattvas. Thus, one who is skilled in the one path traversed by Bodhisattvas should practice the Perfection of Wisdom. That is the one skilled in the path of the Bodhisattvas. Thus, one who is skilled in the path of the Bodhisattvas should practice the Perfection of Wisdom. What then is the Bodhisattvas' skill in dependent origination? It is like this: a Bodhisattva goes alone to a solitary place, and having properly settled within, a thought arises in his mind: From where will this mass of suffering arise? And then he thinks like this: Because of improper attention, ignorance arises; because ignorance arises, action arises; because action arises, consciousness arises; because consciousness arises, name and form arise; because name and form arise, the six sense sources arise; because the six sense sources arise, contact arises; because contact arises, feeling arises; because feeling arises, craving arises; because craving arises, grasping arises; because grasping arises, existence arises; because existence arises, birth arises; because birth arises, old age and death arise; because old age and death arise, sorrow, lamentation, suffering, distress, and confusion arise. He also thinks like this: Like the immovable, the non-acting, the ownerless, that which arises from virtuous causes, that which arises from non-virtuous causes, that which arises from immovable causes, and those dharmas that arise from the cause of Nirvana, all are caused by conditions. Whatever the cause of karma, in whatever way it affects the roots of beings, as well as the roots of the remaining rituals, and the roots of measuring the results.

Accomplishment, thus accomplished, and whatever arises from the union of causes from the unaccomplished, fully knowing all of that, this is called a Bodhisattva being skilled in dependent origination. What ceases? Because of the cessation of improper attention, ignorance ceases. Because of the cessation of ignorance, actions cease, and so on, until only the great mass of suffering ceases, thus thinking. Whoever knows that in this way is called skilled in dependent origination. Moreover, all phenomena depend on causes, depend on conditions, and depend on aggregation. Whatever depends on causes, conditions, and aggregation is not the blessing of a lord, nor the blessing of life and individuals, and there is no enumeration of it. Thus thinking, whoever thinks in this way is skilled in dependent origination. Thus, a Bodhisattva causes all the Buddha's teachings to arise as conditions for the aspect of enlightenment, and also individually discerns the cessation and non-cessation of those conditions, and obtains non-cessation for the sake of looking at sentient beings, this is the Bodhisattva being skilled in dependent origination. What is a Bodhisattva being skilled in all phenomena? All phenomena are like this: conditioned and unconditioned. A Bodhisattva should be skilled in conditioned and unconditioned phenomena. What is being skilled in conditioned phenomena? It is the action of body, the action of speech, and the action of mind. With the virtuous actions of body, speech, and mind, in the unconditioned Bodhi, knowing in an unconditioned way, and aspiring to achieve omniscience, this is being skilled in unconditioned phenomena. Furthermore, being skilled in unconditioned phenomena refers to the perfection of giving, discipline, patience, diligence, meditation, and wisdom, and gathering the five perfections. With unconditioned wisdom, not disparaging the other five perfections with the perfection of wisdom, and being skilled in all the collections of perfections, and being without outflows.
