Should be revered. After Shariputra generated the sixth bodhicitta, he served and revered the Bodhisattva Acharya, even offering a bottle of water. Then, in order for the Bhagavan to further and extensively understand that meaning, at that time these verses were spoken: Evil friends are those whose pride and arrogance increase. Having been shown in the ocean for many kalpas, even if born among humans, they become slaves, revolving for a long time in the cycle of existence. It is extremely difficult to obtain a human body, and I have obtained it through difficulty. The place of dwelling is harmonious and good, and so are the appearance of the Buddha and leisure. Those friends who are most excellent, showing the conduct and path of the Bodhisattva, and whose bodhicitta is the cause of increasing jewels, are found after many hundreds of thousands of kalpas. The body is frail, impermanent, and unreliable, like a bubble, a dewdrop, like an illusion, a dance, like a dream seen, and false words spoken. Life is short, and lifespan will also be exhausted, like clouds and lightning that do not stay. In an instant, life also changes in the same way. One should take the essence from the essential sutras. Whatever kalpas of past times, hundreds of thousands of countless times have been deceived and destroyed by the mountain of arrogance, through timing, trade, and proximity. Having completely abandoned all suffering on the body, with a mind unattached to life, having abandoned self, arrogance, and pride, one should serve those with qualities with reverence. Having abandoned self, arrogance, and pride, towards parents and sons, and the most famous teachers in the world, one should offer excellent service with reverence. Bodhisattvas who have entered the supreme Bodhi, whoever is in harmony with me and Bodhi, should generate joy and steadfast reverence, and strive for the sake of service. Arrogant beings should abandon arrogance. In order to cut off and subdue the arrogance of the unwise, having destroyed it with the vajra of wisdom, one should destroy the mountain of arrogance. Having perfected the conduct of Bodhi, and abiding in the essence of supreme Bodhi, in the circle of demons.

Having subdued all disputes, may I liberate beings from the four rivers. In all ten directions, wherever there are people who are ashamed of their own impurity, may I, with a mind of love and compassion, become their protector, refuge, and friend. The time for the perfection of generosity has arrived, may I learn the qualities of the Buddha, may I be able to learn. The practice of patience should be perfected, may I initiate diligence without bonds. The perfection of meditation is attained, the time for taming the mind is near. Skillful means and wisdom have become the abode of the wise, may I circumambulate all the lamas. Thus, may I increase merit, power, and glory, wisdom and knowledge are inconceivable. Having attained realization through supreme independence, may I become a vessel filled with nectar. Shariputra, having generated this sixth Bodhicitta, the Bodhisattva, in order to fully seek the treasury of the Bodhisattvas, should serve and respect the teacher, even offering a full vase of water. Furthermore, Shariputra, the Bodhisattva should generate such a mind: 'I have long been separated from virtuous friends and encountered evil companions, becoming lazy, with diminished diligence, indolent, foolish, and dull. Therefore, there is no black karma, nor the ripening of black karma; no white karma, nor the ripening of white karma; no black and white karma, nor the ripening of black and white karma; no karma that is neither black nor white, nor the ripening of karma that is neither black nor white.' Having such faith, towards ascetics and Brahmins, and monks, what is virtuous, what is non-virtuous, what is blameworthy, what is blameless, what should be relied upon, what should not be relied upon, what is appropriate to do, what is inappropriate to do, what actions will lead to long-term harm, unbenefit, and suffering, what actions will lead to benefit, usefulness, and happiness, without asking, and due to being overwhelmed by arrogance, I have accumulated sinful and non-virtuous actions. Due to the ripening of those non-virtuous actions, I am unable to be close to all places of giving, becoming a person with incomplete faculties, therefore I have not pleased such places of giving.
