are my enemies. Because I am controlled by them, the protector of the world is displeased. Like this, the sound of the Buddha, the sixty branches, I have not heard. I have displeased the Buddha. I have suffered a great loss. The benefactor of the world, such is his compassion. The perfection of all dharmas, because of negligence, today the time has passed. The chief of the two-legged, I have displeased. Even in hundreds of millions of billions of kalpas, it is difficult to find the sight of a hundred Buddhas. The Sugata has passed away after nirvana, the Victorious One today I have displeased. Not speaking of the Buddha immediately after birth, parents today I think are enemies. If I were to see the Victorious One dwelling, I would listen to the Dharma and make offerings. The Sugata will come after nirvana, the sixty branches of the Tathagata, the sound arising with all of those complete, those of the Victorious One I have not heard today. After nirvana I have come here, today I have suffered a great loss. The Buddhas of the past always taught me, the excellent dharmas they do not teach me. Then, Shariputra Bodhisattva quickly arose from that place, and went to where the Blessed One's excellent retinue, the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened One was, and having arrived, circled the Tathagata's throne weeping hundreds of thousands of times, and then sat in one place. He spoke these verses: Sentient beings are truly supreme, Truly the dharmas are well taught, For the sake of supreme perfect enlightenment, My mind truly arises. Great wisdom is truly spoken, Because the Tathagata is not seen, Victorious One, what are you like? My wisdom has become like this. My former strength was also weak, My wisdom was shallow, a demonic side, Because I was dwelling in a household, I displeased the chief of men. Because I had accumulated merit in the past, I saw that Tathagata, But those dharmas were not spoken to me, Therefore, I feel extremely painful. In the assembly of gods and nagas, I speak words of truth, If I am truly without falsehood, As I have spoken, may it all be true, In the time of the future, Bull

The great teacher sees the meaning, and truly teaches the Dharma. May the supreme woman become a Buddha. One is not born in unfavorable circumstances, and after being born, one should not indulge in desires. One will not be transformed into a woman's body, and one should cut the bonds of Mara. He teaches the Dharma in person, and always looks upon the Buddhas. Having seen them, he generates supreme faith, and having faith, he respects and makes offerings. If these words I have spoken become true and not false, by the power of this truth, may this Buddha remain as if abiding in enlightenment. When these words were spoken, the Tathagata remained silent. Hundreds of thousands of myriads of gods scattered wonderful garments at that time. They were filled with great joy in their hearts, and having dwelt in the sky, they praised the Victor with verses. The mind of benefiting that arises from light, the supreme speech of great miraculous power, the one who teaches the supreme Dharmas, remember the Buddha, the protector who speaks. After he spoke those verses, in order to satisfy the vast assembly, at that time he spoke these verses. I have received the prophecy of Maitreya, and I will also become a Buddha in this world. You should follow me and practice, and you should make offerings to the Tathagata. For the sake of my compassion, if you awaken again in Nirvana, the protector of the world is inconceivable. Who does not generate faith in the Buddha? He generates roots of virtue in the Tathagata, and having made vast offerings and service, by the power of that root of virtue, from the time of his death, he is born in the good realms of the heavens. He has not fallen into the lower realms for twenty billion kalpas. For twenty billion kalpas, he has never enjoyed desires. Because of the extreme desire for unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, he also made vast offerings and service to all of them, and practiced celibacy in all places. When he obtained the last body and the last self in the last kalpa and the last time, urged by his own roots of virtue, the one called King Sala, the Tathagata, the Arhat, the perfectly enlightened one, endowed with knowledge and conduct, the Sugata, the knower of the world, the unsurpassed charioteer who tames beings, the teacher of gods and humans.
