It should be understood that the discipline of a Bodhisattva is completely pure in ten ways. What are these ten? Making sentient beings fully mature is the discipline of generosity. Constantly guarding the mind is the discipline of patience. Not turning back is the discipline of diligence. Perfecting the collection of meditative concentration is the discipline of meditative concentration. Not being satisfied with listening and discipline is the discipline of wisdom. Completely seeking the Bodhisattva's treasury is the discipline of completely seeking listening. Discerning the notion of impermanence separately is the discipline of not regarding the body. Discerning the mind as like an illusion separately is the discipline of not trusting life. From the beginning, the discipline is completely pure, which is the discipline of fulfilling all wishes. Completely dedicating all disciplines is the discipline of meeting the Thus-Gone One. Shariputra, it should be understood that the discipline of a Bodhisattva is completely pure in these ten ways. Shariputra, a Bodhisattva whose discipline is so completely pure will surely experience the abundant wealth of gods and humans. There is nothing that he does not know about the crafts and activities of the world. There is nothing that he does not do to ensure that all sentient beings obtain enjoyment and avoid wrongdoing. There is nothing that prevents ordinary people from being friendly with each other, because the Bodhisattva has no anger. There is no lying that would cause the Bodhisattva to lose faith. He does not fail to generate the perception of a mother towards any sentient being. Among the classes of sentient beings, he does not fail to generate the perception of a father towards any sentient being. He does not fail to generate the perception of trust towards any sentient being. He does not fail to generate the perception of impermanence towards any conditioned phenomenon. Knowing that all things are conditioned, he does not regard his body or life. A Bodhisattva whose discipline is completely pure practices the conduct of a Bodhisattva. The Blessed One spoke thus, the Sugata taught thus, and the Teacher also spoke thus: Whoever abides in this discipline is a Dharma that protects.

Body and, voice and, color forms these, for them it is not difficult to obtain. The land will not become blind, nor will it become hunchbacked, lame, or crippled. The five elements become pure, and his body becomes beautiful. Powerful and mighty, radiant and glorious. With wisdom and diligence, the sinful demons are frightened. Kings also respectfully offer, and gods and nagas also respectfully serve. All doubts will be cut off, and they will cultivate loving-kindness very much. From the accumulation of discipline, even if killed, there is no fear. The famous practitioner of Dharma will not fall into evil realms. Even if all sentient beings are asleep, they will not doze or not sleep, and for the four directions, all places, they seek good speech. Those who abide in the accumulation of discipline, precious jewels and wives, and even their own flesh are given away, and everywhere they seek the path to enlightenment. The Buddha's Dharma is unsurpassed, seeking the supreme Dharma. Becoming the protector of the world, suitable for stupas and giving. Reproaching and completely subduing, forgiving all the sins committed. Abiding in patience, praising patience. Not speaking untruthfully, doing as said. Abiding in the heart of the Bodhi tree, making these lands also shake. There is no flattery in the Buddha's Dharma, completely abandoning other gods. Constantly, from the Buddha Bhagavan, there will be no other gods. Weapons and poisons, those who harm each other, reconciliation will become, that is the characteristic of the wise. Seeing the suffering of sentient beings, even in countless kalpas, even if there is no benefit for me, I will not abandon them. If benefit is obtained, they say friend, praising each other. If benefit is not made, they kill each other. This Jambudvipa, and all the Buddha's lands, filled with jewels and giving alms, constantly become my friends. Those who cut off limbs with sharp weapons, for all sentient beings, the mind enters equally. For the sake of the Buddha's Dharma, abandoning the Dharma of children.
