Abides in... Shariputra, it is impossible and there is no opportunity for all sentient beings to hold the body or form of the Tathagata as a characteristic. Such an impossible place will obtain those four dharmas that cannot be destroyed by others. Shariputra, these five are the dharmas that make the Tathagata immeasurable. What are the five? Shariputra, the discipline of the Tathagata is immeasurable, Shariputra, the hearing of the Tathagata is immeasurable, the samadhi of the Tathagata, and liberation through wisdom, and the wisdom of liberation seeing is immeasurable. Shariputra, these five are the dharmas that make the Tathagata immeasurable. If it is said, "Come," then because of possessing the root of virtue that can come, one will obtain the four unobstructed wisdoms. What are the four? The Buddhas, the Bhagavat, enter into the wisdom vision that is without attachment or obstruction to the past time, the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, enter into the wisdom vision that is without attachment or obstruction to the future time, the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, enter into the wisdom vision that is without attachment or obstruction to the present time, and the mind of the Tathagata is cultivated equally, by cultivating the mind equally, the Tathagata possesses the wisdom of the equality of the three times and the true wisdom. With true wisdom, without relying on others, without relying on the words of others, one knows all dharmas, the wisdom of the Tathagata is inconceivable. Possessing inconceivable wisdom, one can fully understand wind and rain, a wind called "following" arises, and however many sentient beings there are, they will each experience it slightly in accordance, the width of that wind is three yojanas. In the space above it, a wind called "wind cloud" arises, its width is five yojanas. In the space above it, a wind called "destroyer" arises, the width of the circle of that wind is ten koshala. In the space above it, a wind called "unborn" arises, the width of the circle of that wind is thirty koshala. In the space above it, a wind called "Tathagata" arises, the width of the circle of that wind is...

The number is forty. Shariputra, the Tathagata, Arhat, Samyak-sambuddha is the guide to wisdom. He fully knows the sixty-eight thousand kotis of wind circles, and the last of these wind circles is called "all-pervading." From that, the width of the great water mass is sixty-eight thousand yojanas, and the width of the great earth is also sixty-eight thousand yojanas. Thus, Shariputra, by showing numbers and counting, it is the three thousand great thousand worlds. There, the Tathagata, Arhat, Samyak-sambuddha, named Great Aggregate, now dwells, lives, and enjoys. The measure of his life is three hundred kotis of years. His retinue of Shravakas is thirty kotis nayutas hundred thousands, all of whom are Arhats, those who have exhausted the outflows, without afflictions, possessing mastery, having reached the other shore of all mental mastery. The great Shravakas have a great assembly of Shravakas. His Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas are hundreds of billions, having obtained the Bodhisattva treasury, very certain of the meaning, learned like the ocean, Dharma speakers, abiding in emptiness, abiding in the signless, abiding in the wishless, all of whom are great assemblies. If he completely passes into nirvana, the sacred Dharma will remain for a thousand years, and after a thousand years of complete nirvana, he will completely pass into nirvana, and his relics will also be vast. For example, just as now, after I completely pass into nirvana, the relics will become extremely vast. Shariputra, the Tathagata is unobstructed wisdom, and even more so, the Tathagata's wisdom is immeasurable. The wind circle is all-pervading, and the Buddha-field is also all-pervading. Shariputra, in the world realms of the upper direction, there are also places where there are no Tathagatas now. There are hundreds of thousands of Pratyekabuddhas there. They cause sentient beings to generate roots of virtue. Shariputra, thus the Tathagata relies on wisdom. The Tathagata above that...

The Arhat, the Perfectly Enlightened Buddha, knows all those who have appeared now, as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River. Likewise, in all ten directions, the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Enlightened Buddha, who are immeasurable, countless, unfathomable, and inconceivable, who have appeared now, He knows them all. He also knows all the Buddha-fields. After speaking thus, the Venerable Shariputra asked the Blessed One: "Blessed One, with what roots of virtue does one become such a Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened Buddha, endowed with unobstructed wisdom?" The Blessed One replied: "Shariputra, abide thus in me: with respect for the Dharma, perceiving it as medicine, perceiving it as jewels, perceiving it as rare, perceiving it as roots of virtue, generating such thoughts as they are, abiding in respect and upholding the Dharma. Shariputra, thus the wisdom of the Tathagata blazes. Shariputra, the Tathagata knows the wisdom of the Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, which is exceedingly numerous and even more so, unceasing, inconceivable, countless, immeasurable, and inexpressible. Even if one says, 'Come here,' by that power, like throwing a pebble, the Buddha-fields of the Tathagata come and go like the sands of the Ganges River. Shariputra, by holding what is heard with faith, one quickly attains liberation, and that liberation is exceedingly liberated. From what is one liberated? One is exceedingly liberated from all suffering. Shariputra, if one merely obtains the four places of respect, one obtains faith and abides without being connected to the Dharma of the Buddha. Thus, one should abide in such a state. Even if one generates such a thought, even if one does not hold the words and letters of such a category of Sutra teachings, one will obtain the four Dharmas of wisdom by that very root of virtue. What are the four? One will become wise, endowed with great wisdom, and one will see the Buddha."
