It possesses the path, inconceivable pills, and inconceivable great compassion. Shariputra, if such a wind mandala were to arise mightily in the east, south, west, north, below, above, in the corners, and in all ten directions of the world realms as numerous as the sands of the Ganges, Shariputra, even if the wind mandala that destroys the world realms were to be blocked by the tip of the Tathagata's finger, the miraculous power and strength of the Tathagata would not diminish. Why is that? Shariputra, the miraculous powers of the Tathagatas are inconceivable. To this, Bodhisattvas manifest joy, trust, without doubt, without hesitation, greatly rejoice, attain satisfaction, and thus generate wondrous and marvelous thoughts. Then, in order to extensively show this meaning of the Bhagavan, at that time these verses were spoken: As many sentient beings as there are in the three realms, Like the abiding Maudgalyayana, With miraculous powers having reached the other shore, Having become wise among all the Shravakas, Even if all miraculous powers are very stable, The Tathagata, on this earth, Having placed a grain of white mustard seed, Cannot cause it to move. Those who are in the ten directions of the world realms, As many as the sands of the Ganges, Scattered winds and destroying all, Winds having risen in the ten directions, Such winds are not able, To move even the tip of a hair of the edge of the Dharma robe of the one who sees all. With a single hair of the Great Sage, He completely subdues that wind. Such miraculous powers of the Buddha, Are limitless like the sky. Thus, Shariputra, Bodhisattvas, from manifesting joy and trust to wonder and marvel, generate thoughts towards the inconceivable miraculous powers of the Tathagatas. Again, Shariputra, how does a Bodhisattva manifest joy, trust, complete understanding, without doubt, without hesitation, greatly rejoice, attain satisfaction, and thus generate wondrous and marvelous thoughts towards the inconceivable power of the Tathagatas?

What is meant by 'earth-born'? Shariputra, the ten powers of the Tathagata are these. Because of possessing these powers, the Tathagata vows to be in the position of the king of bulls, and whether it is a Shramana, or a Brahmin, or a god, or a demon, or Brahma, or anyone, the wheel of Brahma that cannot be turned in accordance with the Dharma in this world can be turned excellently. What are the ten? They are: the power of knowing what is and what is not; the power of knowing karma and its maturation; the power of knowing various aspirations and various different aspirations; the power of knowing various realms and various different realms; the power of knowing the order of faculties and diligence; the power of knowing the path that goes everywhere; the power of knowing the defilement and purification and arising of meditation, liberation, samadhi, and samapatti; the power of knowing the arising of the recollection of past lives; the power of knowing the dying and the arising; the power of knowing the exhaustion of defilements. Shariputra, these are the ten powers of the Tathagata. Because of possessing these powers, the Tathagata truly roars the lion's roar in the assembly, from the position of the king of bulls, until anyone cannot turn the wheel of Brahma in accordance with the Dharma in the world, it can be turned excellently. What is the power of the Tathagata knowing what is and what is not? Here, Shariputra, the Tathagata, with the unsurpassed power of the Tathagata's wisdom, truly knows what is as what is, and what is not as what is not. What is that place? What is not that place? Shariputra, whatever is the maturation of evil deeds done by the body, the desire and the detestable and the joy and the agreeable are presently accomplished, this is not the place, there is no opportunity. Whatever is the maturation of evil deeds done by the body, evil deeds done by speech, and evil deeds done by mind, the undesirable and the not detestable and the not joyful and the not agreeable are presently accomplished, this is the place, there is an opportunity. Whatever is by the body
