Shariputra, the Tathagata, Arhat, Samyak-sambuddha, is the supreme holy one who has gone to the other shore, the one who has reached the other shore. Shariputra, the Tathagata is renowned for such great miraculous power, such great strength, and such great authority. For example, Shariputra, among the gods in the realm of neither perception nor non-perception, there is a god who, with consciousness abiding in a single object, remains for eighty-four thousand kalpas. By means of meditation, he exhausts his lifespan, and until the time of death, that consciousness does not transform into another consciousness. Similarly, Shariputra, from the night the Tathagata fully awakened to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, and until the night he completely passed into the realm of nirvana without remainder of aggregates, the Tathagata never deviated from samadhi. The mind does not change, the mind does not wander, the mind does not scatter, the mind does not excessively scatter, the mind is not entangled, the mind is not seduced, the mind is not distracted, the mind is not elevated, the mind is not universally guarded, the mind is not hidden, the mind is not satisfied, the mind is not contradictory, the mind is not subdued, the mind is not agitated, the mind does not excessively rejoice, the mind is not disheartened, the mind does not conceptualize, the mind does not diversify, the mind does not completely diversify, there is no consciousness that follows the mind, the mind does not abide in the eye, nor does it abide in the ear, nose, tongue, body, or mind. The mind does not abide in form, the mind does not abide in sound, smell, taste, touch, or phenomena. The mind does not enter into phenomena, the mind does not enter into consciousness. The mind does not look to the past, the mind does not look to the future, the mind does not look to what is arising in the present. Thus, Shariputra, the Tathagata, Arhat, Samyak-sambuddha abides in samadhi, and although there is no dharma that is abandoned in the mind, the wisdom that unobstructed sees all dharmas enters in a spontaneously accomplished manner. Thus, Shariputra, the samadhi of the Tathagata is separated from mind, intellect, and consciousness, but it does not abandon its basis.

All the deeds of the Buddha are performed in a spontaneously accomplished manner. The Blessed One declared thus, and the Sugata, having spoken thus, the Teacher also spoke thus: In hundreds of thousands of immeasurable and vast kalpas, when practicing the conduct of enlightenment in previous existences of sentient beings, morality, learning, samadhi, mindfulness, and patience were cultivated with guidance for the sake of supreme enlightenment. Because the Victor's thoughts and the fruits are similar to virtue, morality is extremely pure and the best of all worlds. Just as the sky is stainless and free from elaboration, the morality of the ten powers is stainless like the sky. On the night when the Victor first realized enlightenment, and on the night when he finally passed into nirvana, the minds of the ten powers do not move at all. Likewise, meditation and samadhi never deteriorate. The aggregates of morality of the ten powers are undiminished. There is no change in the power of miracles and various deteriorations. For hundreds of thousands of kalpas, the mind remains in one state. The guide has no thoughts or various thoughts. The realm of activity of the guides' various thoughts is like the sky. In the three times, the Buddha's wisdom enters without beginning. The minds and thoughts of the ten powers move in various ways, and without thoughts and teachers, with the sons of the Buddha, thus, Shariputra, Bodhisattvas have faith, belief, and understanding in the inconceivable morality and samadhi of the Tathagatas. Without doubt, without hesitation, with great joy, having found satisfaction, they generate wonder and amazement. Shariputra, how does a Bodhisattva have faith, belief, and understanding in the inconceivable power of the Tathagata's miracles? Without doubt, without hesitation, with great joy, having found satisfaction, they generate wonder and amazement? Shariputra, the Tathagata, the Arhat, the perfectly enlightened Buddha, said this: 'This great Maudgalyayana is the best among my Shravakas who have great miraculous powers.' The Bodhisattva measures the miracles of the Shravakas and...
