Therefore, it is said that the Tathagata has no mental confusion. Since his mind is not confused, he teaches the Dharma in order to eliminate the confusion of sentient beings, and this is the first unmixed Dharma of the Buddha. Furthermore, Shariputra, what causes the clamor? Is it a demon? Is it a son of a god of the demon class? Or is it a clamor that other heretics can find an opportunity to exploit? The Tathagata does not have it. Again, Shariputra, the Tathagata has no clamor, nor does he utter clamor. The Tathagata is free from attachment and anger that arise subsequently. Even if all sentient beings revere him, he does not think he has heard it. Even if all sentient beings do not revere him, he is not disturbed. What does he have to regret? Or the supreme action or ultimate Dharma that causes clamor to arise subsequently, the Tathagata does not have. The Tathagata does not contend with the world, therefore the Tathagata has no clamor. The Tathagata abides in a state without afflictions, without "mine", without clinging, without grasping, and is free from all defilements. Therefore, the Tathagata has no clamor. Since he has no clamor, he teaches the Dharma in order to eliminate all clamor of all sentient beings, and this is the second unmixed Dharma of the Buddha. Furthermore, Shariputra, for what reason does the Tathagata not forget and is not confused about any Dharma? There is no obstruction to dhyana, liberation, samadhi, and samapatti, and in order to truly observe the mental conduct and agitation of all sentient beings, the Tathagata has no confusion. In order to separately bestow the Dharma that is suitable for each individual's capacity, therefore there is no decline. Because he can see the wisdom of the past, future, and present without obstruction, there is no decline in understanding the meaning, Dharma, definitive words, and eloquence. Since I have no decline and can see the wisdom of the past, future, and present without obstruction, I teach the Dharma in order to prevent all sentient beings from falling into forgetfulness. This is the third unmixed Dharma of the Buddha. Furthermore, Shariputra,

The Tathagata does not focus on a mind that is not in equanimity. Whether the Tathagata is walking, standing, sitting, sleeping, eating, speaking, or not speaking, he is always in equanimity, having perfected the profound and sacred samadhi. He meditates on unobstructed contemplation. Apart from the blessings of the Tathagata, no matter whether beings in the realm of sentient beings are in equanimity or not, no one can see the mind of the Tathagata. Just as the Tathagata is always in equanimity, he teaches the Dharma to sentient beings by observing samadhi. This is the fourth of the unique Buddha qualities of the Tathagata. Furthermore, Shariputra, the Tathagata does not have the perception of difference from which the mind does not abide in equanimity. Why is that? Because the realms are inexhaustible like the sky, the Tathagata does not have the perception of different realms. Because there is no difference in nature, the Tathagata does not have the perception of different beings. Because the realm of Dharma is indivisible and is the wisdom of equality, the Tathagata does not have the perception of different Buddha-fields. Because of the nature of Dharma that is free from desire, the Tathagata does not have the perception of different Dharmas. The Tathagata does not have attachment to beings who possess morality, nor does he have anger towards those who are immoral. He does not repay kindness to those who have been kind, nor does he harm those who have harmed him. He is not unequal to those who are worthy of taming, nor does he curse beings with wrong views. The Tathagata abides equally in all Dharmas, therefore it is said that the Tathagata does not have the perception of difference. Just as the Tathagata does not have the perception of difference, he teaches the Dharma in order to abandon the perception of difference in all beings. This is the fifth of the unique Buddha qualities of the Tathagata. Furthermore, Shariputra, the Tathagata does not have indiscriminate abandonment. Why is that? The Tathagata's abandonment is the path.
