Having heard those immeasurable and inconceivable fearlessnesses, they generate great faith, trust, and thorough understanding, thereby giving rise to a perception of wonder and rarity. Shariputra, this is the second fearlessness of the Tathagata, namely, that of possessing the fearlessness of the Tathagata, from "in this world in accordance with the Dharma" onwards. Furthermore, Shariputra, since the Tathagata possesses the unsurpassed wisdom of the Tathagata, having entered the assembly, he proclaims that he can obstruct the obstructing dharmas, which should be applied as before. To the Tathagata, the world with its gods will object, saying, 'This is not an obstructing dharma,' until there is none. What are the obstructing dharmas? For example: one dharma that will become an obstruction; what is that one? For example: a mind of carelessness. Two dharmas that will become obstructions; what are those two? For example: not knowing shame and being shameless. Three dharmas that will become obstructions; what are those three? For example: misconduct with the body, misconduct with speech, and misconduct with the mind. Four dharmas that will become obstructions; what are those four? For example: going to non-going places due to desire, and going to non-going places due to hatred, delusion, and fear. Five dharmas that will become obstructions; what are those five? For example: killing, taking what is not given, engaging in sexual misconduct, lying, and drinking alcohol. Six dharmas that will become obstructions; what are those six? For example: disrespect towards the Buddha, the Dharma, the Sangha, the training, the samadhi, and the seat. Seven dharmas that will become obstructions; what are those seven? For example: pride, great pride, pride beyond pride, the pride of 'I am,' wrong pride, increased pride, and slight pride. Eight dharmas that will become obstructions; what are those eight?
