and destinations, and those who go to bad destinations. These sentient beings are endowed with bad conduct by body, endowed with bad conduct by speech, endowed with bad conduct by mind, slander the noble ones, and hold wrong views. They, with the karma of wrong views, truly uphold it, and after the body breaks down, they fall into bad destinies, bad migrations, and wrong views, and are born in the hells of sentient beings. The birthplace of animals, and the world of Yama, are also the same. Again, these sentient beings are endowed with good conduct by body, endowed with good conduct by speech, endowed with good conduct by mind, do not slander the noble ones, and hold right views. They, with right views, truly uphold them, and after the body breaks down, they are born as gods in the world of happy migrations and heavens. Thus, he fully knows how sentient beings accumulate karma. Therefore, the divine eye of the Tathagata is the Buddha-fields of the ten directions, the edge of space, the nature of the Dharma realm, immeasurable and inexpressible, and even beyond the sands of the Ganges, all the Buddha-fields that appear, he sees their burning, destruction, and formation. He sees the death and rebirth of some sentient beings who appear. He sees some Bodhisattvas who appear, their death and rebirth from the Tushita heaven, entering the mother's womb, being born, taking seven steps, entering the ranks of the consorts, and renouncing the world. He sees some Buddhas, the Bhagavat, who appear, that they attain complete and perfect enlightenment. He also sees them turning the wheel of Dharma, abandoning the aggregates of life, and completely entering Nirvana. He sees some Shravakas who appear, that they completely enter Nirvana by complete extinction. He sees some Pratyekabuddhas who appear, that they show miracles and cultivate merits. He sees sentient beings who do not appear, the non-Buddhist hermits.

Those who do not enter the path of the eyes of those with the five supernormal cognitions, And those that even the Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, and Bodhisattvas cannot see, the Tathagata sees with his divine eye. Moreover, the Tathagata sees those beings who are not visible even to the size of a wooden wheel, and they are indeed many! The gods and humans in the three-thousand great-thousand world system are not like that, and the realm of beings that are not visible in this way is also immeasurable. Thus, Shariputra, the Tathagata, with his divine eye, observes in the Buddha-field which beings will be tamed by the Buddha, and observes the realm of beings. As many beings as will be tamed by the Buddha, the Tathagata abides before those beings and tames those beings, but other beings do not know it. Thus, Shariputra, the Tathagata's divine eye, mindfulness is manifested, and the power of knowledge is limitless and boundless, equal to and the same as the sky. The Bodhisattva, having heard this, from generating great faith, up to "because it is as inconceivable as the sky." Then, in order to extensively explain this meaning, the Bhagavan then spoke these verses: The Sugata's divine eye is without stain, In billions of kalpas, purified by virtuous deeds. With it, the Victor sees the Buddha-fields of the ten directions, All vast and inconceivable. How many are the formations and destructions, Some are surrounded by fire, and beings dwell. Some are with Buddhas, and some are empty, All are seen by the eye of the Self-born. The realm of beings is vast and cannot be conceived, How many are those with form and without form, Those who fall into evil destinies and those who go to bliss, All are seen by the eye of the Self-born. How many billions of Buddhas abide, How many Self-born guides have passed into Nirvana, How many Pratyekabuddhas and how many Shravakas are there, All are seen by the eye of the Self-born. Bodhisattvas who go for the benefit of sentient beings, Some practice the supreme conduct of Bodhi, Some have realized the groundless abode, All are the Self-born guide, myself.

watches. Who can see the extremely tiny beings? The Tathagata's eye is so pure and immaculate. Eye power is inconceivable, it is the ninth kind. The princes have complete faith in this. Shariputra, this is the ninth power of the Tathagatas, the Tathagata's power. Possessing this power, one can promise in the supreme assembly, and proclaim like a lion's roar in the sangha, until "who can harmonize the dharmas in this world." Then, what is the Tathagata's power of knowing the exhaustion of defilements, which is directly realized? Shariputra, the Tathagata, with the supreme wisdom power of the Tathagata, exhausts all defilements, my birth is exhausted, the pure conduct is established, what should be done is done, there is no more future existence, so without outflows, sentient beings are liberated, with their own direct wisdom, they directly realize and abide completely. Then, the Tathagata's power of knowing the exhaustion of defilements is to completely destroy all habitual boundaries and behaviors. The exhaustion of defilements of the Hearer Vehicle is to completely destroy the completed habits. The exhaustion of defilements of the Solitary Buddha Vehicle is limited, devoid of great compassion, devoid of fearlessness. The Tathagata's exhaustion of defilements is endowed with all kinds of excellence, completely destroying all habitual boundaries and connections, sustained by great compassion, without fear, regarding fearlessness, not being overcome by all the world, possessing a single instant. Why is that? Because the Tathagata has no habitual karma, no habitual afflictions, no habitual behavioral confusion. For example, Shariputra, the sky is completely pure, not coexisting with the disturbance of dust and smoke, similarly, Shariputra, the Tathagata's power of knowing the exhaustion of defilements also does not coexist with all habitual afflictions. He abides so well in knowing defilements as defilements, and teaches the Dharma in order to make sentient beings with defilements and attachments exhaust defilements, and teaches the Dharma in order to abandon attachments.
