He also fully knows all the faculties of those who are fully matured. He also fully knows those whose faculties are not fully matured. He also fully knows the faculties that arise. He also fully knows the faculties that do not arise. Whatever the form of the faculties of sentient beings, whatever the actions, whatever the thoughts, from what cause they arise, what the conditions are, what the objects are, what the similar causes are, and whatever the limits of the faculties of sentient beings are, all those are fully known by the Tathagata as they truly are. The Blessed One said this. After the Sugata had spoken these words, the Teacher also said this: The faculties of beings have gone beyond the realm of faculties. He knows the conduct and thoughts of sentient beings. Whatever the faculties of beings are like, the Lion of Men teaches them the Dharma accordingly. The Tathagata's wondrous wisdom enters into those faculties that are superior, middling, and inferior. Knowing that the thoughts of sentient beings have become vessels for liberation, knowing their conduct, he teaches the supreme Dharma of the wise. He teaches the Dharma that is appropriate to those who are born with perfect completion and whose afflictions are stable, those whose faculties are middling, and those whose faculties are dull. He also knows when the faculties of good have arisen in a person, and when the faculties of non-virtue have arisen. He also teaches the Dharma, knowing the faculties from the eye to the mind, as well as the faculties of mental discomfort and suffering. Faith, diligence, mindfulness, concentration, and wisdom, likewise. Whoever has these faculties, he teaches them the words of faith, as well as diligence,

This is the fifth Tathagata's power of the Tathagata, namely, that anyone in this world is in accordance with the Dharma, and so on. Among them, what is the Tathagata's power of knowing all paths? Shariputra, the Tathagata truly knows all paths of going everywhere. How does he truly know? He truly knows the realm of beings who are rightly determined, he truly knows the realm of beings who are not rightly determined, he truly knows the realm of beings who are wrongly determined, and he also truly knows the realm of beings who are undetermined. Those beings who have the power of cause, whose past actions are complete, who understand even a little, and whose faculties are sharp, the Tathagata may or may not teach the Dharma to them. Thus, those who have a share of liberation, the Tathagata knows the power of their past causes and teaches the Dharma accordingly. The realm of undetermined beings has the power of conditions and is characterized by being fully ripened. If they meet with proper instruction and subsequent teachings, they will be liberated; if they do not meet with subsequent teachings, they will not be liberated. The Tathagata speaks truly to them in this way, with words that are complete with cause and condition. Thus, having heard the Dharma from the Tathagata, and practicing it properly, they will obtain the fruit. For the sake of those, the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, appear in the world. The realm of beings who are wrongly determined, who have not been tamed, who are stubborn, weak, small, foolish, and unfit to be vessels, the Tathagata may or may not teach the Dharma to them. Thus, those who do not have a share of liberation, the Tathagata knows that they are unfit to be vessels and leaves them alone. For their sake, the Bodhisattvas put on armor. Furthermore, Shariputra, the Tathagata truly knows the three paths of desire. The path of desire also arises from the aspect of suffering; the path of desire also arises from the aspect of following attachment; the path of desire also arises from past causes. The path of hatred

He also fully knows the three aspects: The path of hatred arises from the sign of anger; it also arises from the completion of intention; and it also arises from past latent tendencies. He also fully knows the three aspects of the path of delusion: The path of delusion arises from the cause of ignorance; the path of delusion arises from the cause of the view of the perishable aggregate; and the path of delusion arises from the cause of doubt. The Tathagata also fully knows these as they truly are. Furthermore, Shariputra, the Tathagata also fully knows the path of quick and easy manifestation of supernormal knowledge due to sharp faculties; he also fully knows the path of slow and difficult manifestation of supernormal knowledge due to dull faculties; he also fully knows the path of quick and easy manifestation of supernormal knowledge due to sharp faculties; he also fully knows the path of slow and easy manifestation of supernormal knowledge due to dull faculties; he also fully knows the path of slow and slower manifestation of supernormal knowledge due to abandoning the object of focus; he also fully knows the path of quick and slow manifestation of supernormal knowledge due to not cutting off the continuity of the path; he also fully knows the path of slow and quick manifestation of supernormal knowledge due to exhaling without complete exhaustion; he also fully knows the path of quick and slow manifestation of supernormal knowledge due to not being attached to this. There is also a path that accomplishes the perfection of the power of individual discrimination but not the power of meditation; there is also a path that accomplishes the power of meditation but not the power of individual discrimination; there is also a path that accomplishes the perfection of both the power of meditation and the power of individual discrimination; there is also a path that does not accomplish the perfection of the power of individual discrimination and the power of meditation. The Tathagata also fully knows these as they truly are. There is also a path where intention is perfect but application is not perfect; there is also a path where application is perfect but intention is not perfect; there is also a path where neither intention nor application is perfect; there is also a path where both intention and application are perfect. The Tathagata also fully knows these as they truly are.
