Whatever does not know what is irrational, if there is a son or daughter of good family who wishes to accomplish the dharani as previously stated, they should completely abandon these eighty types of people who practice non-dharma. Then, the Bhagavan again spoke in verse: Whoever does not understand the beginning and end of the eye, they are confused about holding, and the wise should abandon them forever. Whoever understands that there is no self and no sentient beings in the eye, they dwell in holding, and the wise should always rely on them. Whoever understands that the eye is born and ceases and is free from letters, they dwell in holding, and the wise should always rely on them. Whoever understands that the eye is solitary and has no dwelling place, they dwell in holding, and the wise should always rely on them. Whoever understands that the nature of the eye itself has no dwelling place, they dwell in holding, and the wise should always rely on them. Whoever understands that there is no entry into the eye and no characteristic of form, they dwell in holding, and the wise should always rely on them. Whoever understands that there is no birth in the eye and that its nature is peaceful, they dwell in holding, and the wise should always rely on them. Whoever, by the nature of the eye, has abandoned the characteristic of the eye, and understands the praise of the Buddhas and that it is unspeakable, they dwell in holding, and the wise should always rely on them. Whoever, by the nature of the eye, has abandoned the characteristic of the eye, and understands that no one thinks, holds, or speaks of it, they dwell in holding, and the wise should always rely on them. Likewise, the nature of the dharani is not something that can be expressed by letters, nor does it have a direction, nor can the mind reach it. There is no joy in that dharma, nor does it dwell in anger, it is unshakeable like a mountain king, and even if it is spoken of, there is no object of focus. The one who holds everything is not truly existent, nor is the self existent, and if the self is empty in nature, then the one who holds everything is also non-existent. If the one who holds everything is empty in nature, then foolish children wrongly assume it to be existent, making unreal calculations.

Therefore, even without hearing, sorrow arises. If there are desires and all grasping, discriminating emptiness as such, those two discriminations, in the end, will have no object of focus. If emptiness is understood as empty, then all grasping will also not exist. The intermediate stages of the limbs of enlightenment, and also the samadhis, are empty. If one has emptiness of all grasping, and also the intermediate stages of samadhis, if one becomes thoroughly realized, then one will also thoroughly realize the eye. If the eye is the limit of falsehood, thoroughly realizing it as it is, whatever is the door of all grasping, in the end, it will be completely perfected. If the eye is the limit of arising, thoroughly realizing it as it is, whatever is the door of all grasping, in the end, it will be thoroughly realized. If there are all the limits of the eye, thoroughly realizing them as they are, whatever is the door of all grasping, in the end, it will be completely perfected. If the eye is utterly secluded, thoroughly realizing it as it is, whatever is the door of all grasping, in the end, it will be completely perfected. If there are the activities of the eye, thoroughly realizing them as they are, whatever is the door of all grasping, in the end, it will be completely perfected. If the eye is non-existent, thoroughly realizing it as it is, whatever is the door of all grasping, in the end, it will be completely perfected. If the eye is pacified, thoroughly realizing it as it is, whatever is the door of all grasping, in the end, it will be completely perfected. If the eye is changing, realizing the limit of exhaustion as it is, whatever is the door of all grasping, in the end, it will be completely perfected. If the eye is changing, realizing the limit of arising as it is, whatever is the door of all grasping, in the end, it will be completely perfected. If the eye is changing, ultimately realizing the limit as it is, whatever is the door of all grasping, in the end, it will be completely perfected.
