寻觅啊！在城市乡村中到处游走，持诵陀罗尼，以及禅定和，总持光明赞颂等，也不能由此如实证悟。 被五欲束缚，从世间寻求欲望者，因为言说能够证悟，所以对空性禅修加以诽谤。 由于没有正念和智慧，寿命完全徒劳地流逝。愚人舍弃空性之法，那人因为障碍戒律，会堕入无间地狱，再也无法生于天界。 如果有人在一瞬间，建造一千座佛塔，不如有人听闻此经后，受持四句偈中的一句。 如果有人以成百上千的花鬘，供养佛陀的佛塔，不如有人听闻此经后，忆念四句偈。 如果有人建造如恒河沙数般的珍宝佛塔，不如有人哪怕只是一瞬间，忆念此经，功德更为殊胜。 如果有人向成千上万的佛陀，散花供养，不如有人哪怕只是一瞬间，忆念此经，功德更为殊胜。 如果有人向诸佛献上成千上万的法衣，不如有人哪怕只是一瞬间，忆念此经，功德更为殊胜。 佛眼清净殊胜，无所不知，无所不见。如果有人信受此经，将会获得佛眼。 在过去无数劫前，有佛名为燃灯佛出现。我当时是婆罗门童子，手持鲜花进行供养。 名为释迦牟尼者，坐在菩提树下，将会宣说此经，也给我授记了菩提。 你那时是位青年，听闻我被授记后，生起欢喜和信心的念头，合掌说道： 如果这位婆罗门童子，证得圆满正等觉时，我成为他的朋友，在（他）涅槃之后，也能很好地受持法的宝藏，祈愿能够守护。 燃灯佛，如其所说，在那时，婆罗门童子和青年二人，都很好地听闻并完全受持了这部开示光明的经。 我以前。

Seeking! Wandering everywhere in cities and villages, reciting Dharanis, as well as Samadhi and, Total Retention Light Praises, one cannot truly realize it thereby. Those bound by the five desires, seeking desires from the world, because speech can realize, they slander the meditation on emptiness. Because of the absence of mindfulness and wisdom, life passes entirely in vain. Fools abandon the Dharma of emptiness, that person, because of obstructing precepts, will fall into the Avici hell, and will never be born in the heavens again. If someone in a single moment, builds a thousand stupas, it is better than someone who, after hearing this sutra, upholds one verse of the four-line verse. If someone offers hundreds of thousands of flower garlands, to the stupa of the Buddha, it is better than someone who, after hearing this sutra, remembers the four-line verse. If someone builds precious stupas as numerous as the sands of the Ganges, it is especially superior if someone even for a moment, remembers this sutra. If someone scatters flowers and makes offerings to hundreds of thousands of Buddhas, it is especially superior if someone even for a moment, remembers this sutra. If someone offers hundreds of thousands of robes to the Buddhas, it is especially superior if someone even for a moment, remembers this sutra. You were then a youth, and after hearing my prophecy, generated joy and faithful thoughts, and said with folded hands: If this Brahmin boy, attains perfect complete enlightenment, may I become his friend, and after (his) Nirvana, may I also well uphold the treasure of the Dharma, and pray that I can protect it.
