Furthermore, they abandon the true Dharma and engage in non-Dharmic conduct. Therefore, ignorant and inferior individuals should be avoided. Just as a driver breaks his own axle, by engaging in non-virtuous actions, sentient beings will be born in hell. By uttering evil words from the mouth, they constantly harm themselves. It is like holding a sharp axe and cutting one's own body. All phenomena arise from causes and conditions, and the ripening of karma must be experienced without refuge. Because they do not understand this, they rely on worldly hermits, thinking they are virtuous friends. Then they think to themselves: What is the emptiness that is meditated upon? Thinking they have realized the unconditioned, they give rise to nihilistic views. The body is like a broken vessel, and the mind also ceases to exist. Most people become very devoted to false words, and there is no benefit in clinging to this. Even if a malicious emanation causes great harm, it will never cause many beings to fall into evil destinies. A foolish person who teaches the Dharma, destroying the roots of virtue, causes countless beings to fall into hell. You and your assembled retinue should observe this. Today, before my eyes, this Moonbeam Youth, in the past, offered service and diligently practiced to immeasurable Buddhas, Bhagawans, as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River, seeking the unsurpassed wisdom. In all conditioned existence, there is nothing that the mind clings to. Having completely understood the arising and ceasing of eye consciousness, having completely abandoned elaboration, there is no clinging whatsoever. For the benefit of immeasurable sentient beings, they teach the sutras that reveal the unsurpassed light. A foolish person who cannot study this Dharma even sees fault in yogis who meditate. Therefore, fools should be avoided from afar, do not rely on them, and do not learn their Dharma. A foolish person who

Because of fondness for speech, Towards the practice of non-contention, Unable to diligently cultivate, Towards those individuals, There is no proper mindfulness whatsoever. Therefore, towards those, One should not show reverence, nor utter praise. Whoever is a foolish person, Abiding in laziness and idleness, Constantly with body, speech, and mind, Engaging in non-virtuous actions, That person has no pure discipline, Nor wisdom, nor extensive learning. Constantly contemplating desirable objects, Fond of clamor and confusion. You should regard that fool in this way, Their lineage, ancestry, and body, You should regard as inferior. Anger, displeasure, and unease, Their appearance is ugly and displeasing, Even if born in a virtuous place, Their body always becomes base. Because of clinging to the notion of self, They become bewildered about the true meaning, Because they do not possess intelligence, They cannot distinguish the differences in words. Even if they hear the Dharma of emptiness of inherent existence, They will not generate faith in it. The Tathagata, the Bhagavan, From a long time ago, for the worldly, Whatever verbal elaborations there are, Has completely abandoned them. Ordinary beings, for these, Are extremely attached and clinging, Even for the duration of their lives, They will not realize or comprehend. They speak of the praises of discipline, But do not practice pure conduct, From their mouths they teach the Dharma, But with their bodies they engage in non-Dharma. They teach self-discipline, But constantly engage in undisciplined actions. The Buddha taught the disciples, To wear robes of altered color. Those with corrupt discipline, Even if they wear this robe well, The mind of pride and recklessness, Greatly increases. Whatever is eaten that is given with faith, Is like a burning ember without flame. Thus, having abandoned the household life, There is also no happiness of the five desires. Furthermore, for the Buddha's teachings, Not having obtained the supreme bliss, They are fond of immoral conduct, They will not abandon the two extremes. Whatever mental inclinations there are, All of them will not be purified. Such a foolish person, Even if they dwell within a large retinue, It is like a person with a tumor, Entering a group of lions. Thus, the perfectly peaceful, The Dharma is thus taught.
