All dharmas are unconditioned because they have no maker. All dharmas are like the sky because they are without defilement. All dharmas are peaceful because they are not naturally blazing. All dharmas are completely pure from the beginning because they are not naturally afflicted. All dharmas are without stain because they are free from all stains. All dharmas are completely liberated from sorrow from the beginning because they are free from afflictions. All dharmas are not substantial because they are not necessarily apparent. All dharmas are completely beyond the scope of consciousness because they are incorporeal. All dharmas are non-abiding because they have completely destroyed abiding. All dharmas are not to be known because they have abandoned attachment and anger. All dharmas are without a place because they are completely beyond the realm of affliction. All dharmas are like a magical poison because they are devoid of skillful means and wisdom. All dharmas are like the trunk of a water tree because they are without essence. All dharmas are like a bubble because they are naturally weak. Thus, one should contemplate. Son of good family, in this way a Bodhisattva contemplates the Dharma. Then, at that time, the Bhagavan uttered these verses: All dharmas are like illusions, Bewildering the minds of children, Unreal, like dreams, O monks, look at them in this way. Dharmas are like the moon in water, Arising entirely from eye disease. Dharmas are like reflections, What wise person would not understand? Son of good family, how does a Bodhisattva enter the Dharma that accords with the Dharma? Son of good family, here, a Bodhisattva truly observes that form is impermanent, and because he is without attachment to form, he does not directly perceive the realm of Dharma, but with correct wisdom, he thoroughly understands the dharmas of the cycle of the realm of Dharma, and with those valid measures, and well-spoken words, and well-established names.

For those who can grasp the characteristics, speak well, name well, and understand well, only the uncreated path of the Dharma realm can be entered. Similarly, for feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness, truly contemplating that they are impermanent, because of being free from attachment to consciousness, the Dharma realm is not directly realized, but the dharmas of the wheel of the Dharma realm are skillfully understood with correct wisdom, and for those who can grasp the characteristics, speak well, and name well, only the uncreated path of the Dharma realm can be entered. Just as with impermanence, so too with suffering, emptiness, and selflessness. That is, form is selfless, truly contemplating, when truly contemplating that form is selfless, one will not be afraid or frightened by form, nor will one become alarmed. Why is that? Because form is aroused by non-real conceptualization, therefore he knows it as it is. Similarly, feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness are selfless. Thus, truly contemplating, when truly contemplating that consciousness is selfless, one will not be afraid or frightened by consciousness, nor will one become alarmed. Why is that? Because consciousness is aroused by non-real conceptualization, therefore he knows it as it is. Son of good family, for example, just as a magician or a clever disciple of a magician, in front of a large crowd, conjures up various illusions, such as a herd of elephants, a herd of horses, a herd of chariots, or a small army, appearing and showing forth, then a person with a wise nature, seeing these, will not be afraid or frightened, nor will he become alarmed. Why is that? Because he knows that it is a conjured illusion, which is a non-real, non-existent, false, and deceptive dharma.

Because of understanding and knowing everything. Son of good family, likewise, when a Bodhisattva truly observes that form is without self, he is not afraid, not frightened, and does not become fearful. Why is that? Because form is not real, it arises from complete conceptualization. Because of that, he knows it as it truly is. Likewise, feeling, perception, mental formations, and consciousness are without self. When one truly observes them, one is not afraid, not frightened, and does not become fearful of consciousness. Why is that? Because consciousness is not real, it arises from complete conceptualization. Because of that, he knows it as it truly is. Then, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, King Jewel Moon of Immaculate Virtue, asked the Blessed One: Blessed One, how does a Bodhisattva truly observe that form is impermanent, and in order to be free from attachment to form, without directly realizing the sphere of Dharma, skillfully understand the dharmas of the wheel of the sphere of Dharma with correct wisdom? Having asked this, the Blessed One said to the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, King Jewel Moon of Immaculate Virtue: Son of good family, here, a person who understands the meaning of the example of space, therefore, listen to the example. Son of good family, for example, if a person with wisdom takes poison, he constantly cleans, hides, treasures, possesses, and prepares it into various tools, but does not eat it. Why is that? Because he thinks, 'This will become an obstacle to my life.' Son of good family, likewise, a Bodhisattva also thinks of Nirvana, inclines towards Nirvana, enters Nirvana, and also causes others to enter Nirvana, but does not directly realize Nirvana. Why is that? Because he thinks, 'This will cause me to regress from Bodhi.'
